We were auditing Farmers auto insurance policies. Their agents were giving people defensive driving discounts when they hadn't taken defensive driving. So we were checking policies one by one to see if they had the defensive driving certificate uploaded to the policy. If they didn't, then we would remove the discount. Then we would print out letters to send to the agent and the customer explaining why the discount was removed.
The agents ended up just adding the discount back in afterward.
They wanted us to process 120 records per day. I type super fast, so I was hitting 200 records by lunch time. So I started playing games on the internet because the job was so mind numbingly boring. I was doing more than twice the work anyone else was doing. So I felt like I deserved to take it easy in the afternoon, lol. They fired me for that. Oh well.
