I fucking LOVE Samurai Showdown. The games are all silly stupid fun and are totally a B-Tier fighting game series, but so much fun.

That would be Bushido Blade and it's typically not that easy to land a killing blow, unless you throw a katana. That move should have gotten nerfed.

It's a really easy move to dodge and basically instant loses the match if they dodge it.

Nothing can touch Soul Calibur but SamSho is pretty fun in its own right and I like it more than a lot of more popular franchises.

I consider Soul Calibur an A-Tier series.

Yeah but if it hits it's an almost sure instant death and people often are terrible at dodging it. I should know, I've killed many of my friends with that very move back in high school.

Is the best one imo. Cham Cham is Mt favorite character in the series

I love how hyped the japanese fanbase for this series can get. It makes matches awesome to watch even if I barely know how the series is played (even more so since the commentators be popping off, lol).

I bought that samurai shodown collection on sale at some point that has a few of these pro matches in the gallery section.

Yeah I would put it in the B-Tier for fighting games as well. The series is very easy to get into as it's (as someone else puts it) deliberatly slow in terms of gameplay. My issue with the game is even watching it on the high level...there's really not that much room for self expression. Because the stuff you can do in between matches is so limited, you end up seeing all the pro-players play alike. It's not uncommon to see someone on the verge of dying and then doing one big swing that kills their opponents.

With that said, I still enjoy playing it from time to time. It's a shame SNK really fucked up the current Sam Sho game by making the game's netcode be dogshit and have no crossplay.

I've never played the games themselves, but a lot of the characters are classics in MUGEN, so I know a fair bit about them.

I didn't play it in the arcades but I enjoyed the ones on consoles. Galford is my favorite.
