I think they are afraid that there are over 40 countries that are majority Muslim. The fear usually stems from this idea that they want the ideology to spread. Granted, the Muslim population spread in mainly one way. They have a high birth rate. But telling him that won't fit the narrative.

They call literally every Democrat a socialist anyway, so what's different about him?

Moreover, why should some idiot in say Nebraska even give a shit who New York City elects to be their mayor anyway? Other than that's what the propaganda networks tell them to be mad about. Why should it be a national issue?

Not since November last year, no. I've been getting therapy for it for several months now, and I hope it'll help eventually. So far it's mostly been beating around the bush and feeling worse due to digging up old wounds.

And this is the internet so tone is harder to pick up but that's not a jab or insult. I genuinely wish the best for you.

But yeah, it's important to celebrate victories great and small. Is everything fixed and we can all rest easy now? No. No there's still a lot of work that needs to be done.

But last night was a victory. Last night proved that there's still some fight in people. Give yourself permission to be at least slightly more hopeful in the future.

Yeah, I guess so. I try to take solace in things like that, and I sincerely hope things will get better in general. It's just that Trump and his buddies getting to solidify their power and exerting that, not just in the U.S., but on a global scale too, as well as the UN Climate Change Conference basically being an oil state circle jerk leaves me with the impression that humanity has pretty much committed itself to a downward spiral.

Midterms are next year. What lessons the Democrats learn from last night will directly impact how successful they will be going forward. And given how leaders like Schumer and Jeffries have reacted to Mamdani, I don't think they've learned shit.

I have a few missing posts. I can't see who replied to me, but you're right.

Also, I would like to add the Dems just can't talk about affordability. They need to make it clear how they will address it. Social programs, taxing the rich, etc... Explain how you plan to make things affordable in ways the Republicans won't. The Democratic Party's reputation is trashed, and mimicking Zohran's messaging, but not actually offering anything is not gonna cut it. People want to vote FOR a candidate, and not just choose between the evil of two lessers.

Zohran literally did the worst of the major candidates last night. Spanberger and Sherrill ran well ahead of him. Frey beat Fateh.

People knew this was going to be as bad as possible a year ago. The Swing States involved had 4 years of the administration and then 4 years of his campaigning after that to see what was in store.

Why in the world are people deciding to course correct after the fact rather than stay the course when people knew what the alternative was?
