Poll of the Day > One of my buddies bought a Ferrari, he's an introvert and now regrets it

He really hates socializing, hates small-talk, etc. He loves cars and this car has been his dream since childhood. Ever since he got it it's been getting too much attention for him to handle. Theres always people taking pictures of it, posing infront of it. Everyones heads turn when he drives by, every passing driver gives him a thumbs up. People are always walking towards him as he's getting in to start small talk. Now he drives it less and less just to avoid all that.

I'll take it off his hands for him

He's been my best friend for the last 18 years now, he's only recently begun to admit that he has social anxiety. But some people who have social anxiety want to be social but their anxiety prohibits them from doing so. He has no desire to be social.

Well what exactly did he think was going to happen? He bought a flashy sports car. The exact thing that happens when you buy a flashy sports car is happening. I'm not sure I have any sympathy for him at all.

Recommend a Koenigsegg... no one knows about them except car enthusiasts so won't draw in the gawking crowd the way Ferraris do

lol, im looking into 911's for the same reason. I want a bit of attention but not alot of attention. Subtle flash.

That poor guy. I bet the instagram models with the big butts wont leave him alone

The problem with Koenigsegg is that they still look like a supercar, so even if people don't know exactly what it is they still draw attention. They are also like an order of magnitude more expensive than most Ferraris.

That is generally a better option. Porsches in generally and 911's specifically are far more common than Ferraris and the like. Plus there are a ton of 911 variants that only the biggest Porsche nerds can actually tell apart. So even if you have one of the higher performance variants, the average person can't tell it apart from a base spec 911.

For sure. Not cool man. Just wait until someone slides a banana into the tailpipe and Splosh is like, "it was asking for it."

I can only see flashy cars like Ferraris being worth it if you live in an area with almost no traffic or are rich enough to open a racing track on top of buying the car. Any place with traffic and its going to be a disaster.

He's married and lives a low-key life otherwise, he has a social media accounts that he barely ever uses. Lives in a modest house.

He lives in newer developed city, so there are a ton of empty back-roads in the rural outskirts of the city. He also does plan to track it in the future. He's still developing his skills with lower level cars.
