But yeah sucks that Twitch kind of has a stranglehold on someone's livelihood like that. Regardless of someone's views on the weird streamer culture, it's what she makes he money doing and to have to weigh either giving that up or seeking justice against a company that for all intents and purposes facilitated her being attacked sucks.

They said that the only way she could do her live event was that she HAD to do a meet and greet with fans.

Twitch's own security was lacking and no where near her when the incident happened despite reassurances that they had "upped" security. If that fucking weirdo had a knife or something, she would have been in a much worse situation.

The guy just walked away. No one apprehended him, he wasn't taken in, nothing.

I will likely sound like a victim blamer saying this, despite this very much being Twitch's fault, but if you are high profile enough that you need a security detail and you try to go in some place where your security is denied entry you should walk away.er Nothing is worth more than your safety and that is literally what you are paying for the security for so I would imagine a good security firm would tell you the exact same thing. Really makes no sense, there is no way she was the only one there with her own security, I imagine it would be a thing for a lot of high profile streamers so were all of their security denied entry, or did someone royally fuck up.

I hope she sues Twitch, but if it means getting banned from events and maybe even from Twitch itself I can see her deciding that it is not worth it. Any other platform that streams is likely going to be a huge pay cut in a sense that she will have significantly less viewers because none of them are even close to as big as twitch, not even Youtube.

That is victim blaming. Also Twitch didn't give her much of a choice. It was either do a meet and greet or lose her show at Twitchcon.

I don't know much about streamers, but I've seen Emiru's short videos on Youtube before, and she seems chill. I have no idea about any of her political or social leanings, and no one should have a security detail denied at a place where creeps and weirdos are guaranteed to attend. Sexual assault is sickening.
