The Father of Make Believe is really The Afterman Part 3 rather than Vaxis part 3 and I fucking love that. The story to the Afterman double album was completely unresolved and I had been hoping for over a decade that Sirius Amory would at some point rejoin the story. I really need to read the new comics. I've throughly consumed each of the 3 albums in the new saga but I haven't read the comics yet.

i don't think i'd agree with that, to me it just seems like they tried to tie it in after the fact with the re-release having a handful of new entity songs, despite thematically them not really fitting in with the others

the album as a whole just feels like another colors, it doesn't really feel like the other two vaxis albums to me

I think the Continuum songs were the best of the album, part 1-3 is particular are all banging

edit: oh wait, they re-released with new stuff? Im going to have to check them out

yeah, they released a "deluxe" version of it on the 3rd, it added 4 entity songs on it is all

but yeah, the continuum songs were the best, 3 in particular is just excellent, and does contain a bunch of allusions to the afterman albums, mainly that it has domino the destitutes melody. though the first one is my favorite of the 4

When I say it's the Afterman Part 3, Im not talking about the actual sound of the album, Im talking about the storyline that accompanies it. At the very end of the comic for Vaxis part 2 it shows The Afterman and the all mother suit emerging from the remains of the keywork. The original release of the new album also has reprise of The hollow from the afterman part 1 on the first song and a brief interlude with the beginning of domino the destitute played on piano towards the end of the album. This definitely wasn't shoehorned in after the fact. The father of make believe is referring to the afterman/Sirius Amory.

(Confession: Im a Coheed and Cambria maga-fan. I've seen them live 12 times since 2003, and went on the Neverender Cruise in 2023. They are my favorite band. Im very familiar with the stories of the first Amory Wars Comic series and The Afterman)

I saw coheed open for Slipknot with Trivium at Madison square garden. They are boring as fuck. Dead ass terrible band.

Haters gonna hate, Coheed mops the floor with Slipknot and always brings it when they play live

i find it hard to believe that coheed was more boring than trivium and slipknot

Thats why there are countless bands and types of music. Different people like Different things and there's no reason for me to barge into forum threads about bands I dont like to tell people that I think the band they like sucks.
