A fighting game for the Avatar series...makes a lot of sense. This is weird because the art style and animation look fantastic...but there is something that feels off about it for some reason.

Will this be the fighting game that finally grabs me?

Looks good, but assuming that they have to have a load of villains included to fill out the roster.

This seems to be an indie (or at best AA) developer. I don't expect a particularly large roster with visuals this detailed.

It does say pre-alpha footage. Hopefully they're working that stuff out. Also needs to have voice acting or I lose all interest.

That's pretty neat actually

Hopefully pre-alpha means pre-alpha. A lot of early trailers for these budget titles don't change initial assets much, if at all.

I'd have to watch side-by-side to be sure, and I'm not gonna do that, but it feels like I've seen these hitboxes and sequences before. Like they're tracing over another game.

Proof that Avatar isnt an anime: its fighting game isnt an arena fighter.

Some of the animations kinda look stiff I guess. Like they aren't bending down or moving their spines around as much as they do in the shows. And maybe some moves don't have enough of a wind up. I dunno.

Please please please dont be just another cheap cash-grab.

Avatar has so much video game potential but theyre always dookie

Hope its dragonball z roster size loaded. I mean by this point all the benders need to be in this game AND have an avatar state pre-korra with ALL the known avatars!

Anything less would be like having a One Piece fighting game missing characters because its a OP fighting game in a story arc like Naruto fighting games

I excluded Jeong Jeong and Zhao cuz theres already many Fireebenders.

But maybe we can add Master Pakku so we can have another water guy and another White Lotus guy

Had to look them up, but they do have some history. They made a game called Them's Fightin' Herds that was originally a My Little Pony fighter before they got C&D'd by Hasbro. It's apparently pretty solid.

the legend of korra game was pretty good

but yeah outside of that avatar games tend to suck

what id like is setting a game in a unknown era you can pick your avatars gender and do some light customization

an avatar who did something grand but wound up forgotten

Should just make a huge action rpg with customized avatar with a new story in another point in time with choices..

Also make it an adventure game where the environment matters. No water? You can only bend as much water as you can carry. No earth, or only sand nearby? That's gonna limit or change your earthbending. Take out an enemy in water with lightning, but make sure you aren't standing in the water, too. Part of what made ATLA fun was how the characters had to adapt to and take advantage of their environments. Put that in the games.

I didn't realize that someone already mentioned something like this in the topic before posting my own comment. Hell yeah, I'd love an action adventure rpg and that all seems pretty cool. Gotta have side characters who join you and give the same humor and personality as the original series.

The mane6 devs were fired by their publisher, so even if the same parent company it wouldn't be the same development staff. Digging into it a bit more, it looks like the publisher rebranded themselves to avoid the negative press from doing all of that and they eventually became the publisher that's making this game.

Ooh if its being made by Thems Fighting Herds devs its going to be pretty solid.

Im interested to see how many LoK characters make the cut. Id love to see Asami, Mako/Bolin as a duo, Zaheer, Amon, Unalaq, Kuvira, Lyn, and maybe Varik as a joke character. Probably going to be a smallish starting roster but at least a few of these would be nice to have.

Looks decent as far as low busget indie fighters goes. Its just a shame they released this a day or two after the DBFZ update.

It looks a little cheap and jank, but then again, so did Fightin Herds, Battle for the Grid, and KI 2013, and those turned out fine.
