Trump told the gathering of national military generals to use cities like Chicago as "training grounds". Apparently, the same applies to ICE.

Yeah. Who knew the progress we made during the BLM years would not only be reversed, but put on steroids instead. Now it's legal to discriminate and target based solely on race and nationality.

You know what someone needs to do? Find an abandoned building, fill it with Home Alone style traps with You're Next lethality (although some Home Alone traps already are that lethal), hire an immigrant to play the role of Kevin McAllister, then call ICE to report a bunch of illegal immigrants hiding in an abandoned building.

Who could have possibly known that this was going to happen? There was zero warning at all, certainly not a presidential candidate saying that he was going to make this happen, or anything like that.

I look at it from this perspective. You have people being shipped out of America to god knows where all because they were born in another country. They could even be in the country legally but ICE is entering their home with the mindset of Guilty now, Innocent later. Some of those people have been in America since they were 1 month old. But now they are shipped off to a place they have no connections to.

My mindset that ICE breaking into a home should be looked at similar to home invasion. If they enter the home with the proper documentation, similar to a warrant, presented prior to entering, I have less issues with it happening. I still don't agree with it, but at least there is documentation to support it.

And you know what the most fucked up part is? They are doing it with the mindset of "get the illegals out of our country", meanwhile the only true legal citizens of America are the Native Americans, who were there long before everyone else.

Which comes back to their inability to adapt. They should know by now that One, their base is unreliable, Two, the average American is a moron, and Three, no matter how hard they try, they're never going to sway Republican voters. They need a new plan, and probably a new base.

I'm not sure I understand. If Americans won't even vote for moderate left leaning/progressive ideals, what's the recourse? What demographic could they possibly capture?

They need to take a few pages from the Republican playbook. First and foremost, divide and conquer. Now Republican voters have been conditioned to ignore anything a Democrat says. However, what if they secretly funded someone that could siphon votes away from the GOP. Someone that would make Republican voters think the GOP isn't right leaning enough for them. Of course, like the GOP, they would have to play the long game.
