Oh it's out? I might buy it on Saturday. I finally ordered a switch 2 on Amazon. Getting it on that day. Galaxy 2 should have been in All Stars but at least it's been remedied. I'll buy the collection just for 2, even though I already have all Stars.

Ill probably be playing later. This game has a special place in my heart. It was one of the first games I bought with my own money after I got my first job.

Mario Galaxy 2, Sonic Colors, Sin & Punishment 2, Xenoblade the last games of the Wii era were pretty great.

Explain? I keep hearing there's still touch coontrols required while in handheld mode. It's a big reason I'm not so sure I'm buying it yet.

I have it on my Wii U so I'll play it there, the price is a bit insane for just the game. And I already have Galaxy with the Mario All Stars on Switch.

But it is a very very very good game.

Curious about the supposed new content. I already played these games and I don't think I have it in me to ever replay a game anymore, so I'd like to know if it's like, just an extra level or 2. Which is still nice but yeah all I care about is more gameplay.

This is the best 3D Mario game imo

Damn it! I'm might have get it then. That was the biggest thing I hated about 3D All Star, using touch controls in handheld. Why I never finished my replay on the switch.

I'm excited to play 2, tbh. Despite owning 2 for the Wii, I never got around to playing it and I'm just glad I don't have to dig me Wii out for it now.

I'll be waiting for a Mar10 Day sale on these games. I haven't played the original Galaxy since it first released on the Wii, and I never played Galaxy 2. I do have them both on my WiiU as downloads (when they were $10 each) but I haven't turned on the WiiU since before the Switch launched.

I kept looking up the question about handheld controls and nobody had mentioned this, but there were still mentions of touch controls.

It's just a new storybook it seems.

I recently replayed 2 on the Wii, and have done it all except The Perfect Run.

I honestly cannot see myself completing The Perfect Run anytime soon, but its good to know the challenge is there should I ever have a spare thousand of hours a week to tackle it and not pull all my hair out.

That said Im gonna hold on picking up this release for the foreseeable future.

I found a sealed Wii copy at a local game store for 65 bucks a couple months ago. I bought it with the intention of opening and playing it but I had gotten busy and never did, and now Im wondering if its worth opening or just getting the switch version.

For 2 player mode, somehow a controller or handled joycons is better for aiming than a single joycon. The single joycon seems to lose its place and fuck up out of nowhere sometimes and won't correct no matter how it's pointed.

I really want to play it but I don't think I'll be able to for a while.

Galaxy is my favorite Mario game, but I never got to to play galaxy 2 so I'm excited for this release.

Personally, I'd just leave it sealed and get the Switch version. Might be worth something in a decade or two.

I got it on WiiU when nintendo have it out for Platinum coins. Never played passed the first world.

It's the best 3D platformer and the best Mario game.

I'd love to have SMG 1 and 2 on the Switch. Also, is there a physical version?

Galaxy 1 was horrible so I never gave Galaxy 2 a shot, but apparently it's better so maybe some day

If you don't like 1 you will not like 2, the core gameplay is unchanged it's basically a massive level pack.

I personally love Galaxy 1 and 2, I consider them together to be my favorite Mario game

Not true, I don't like SMG but love SMG2. 2nd best 3D Mario plarformer imo. SMG is boring easy and all presentation, while SMG2 offers challenge and fun gameplay. So much more variety.

Ah right, so remember how Galaxy 1 had Rosalina's storybook where you learned about her past through the style of a children's book? Galaxy 2 originally didn't have anything of the sort, but the re-release adds a brand new storybook, this time for Lubba and her past.

I'm having so much fun with this, what a masterpiece! The enhanced visuals are icing on the cake.

Mario 64 > Sunshine > Odyssey >>>>> Galaxy
I'd put Odyssey higher but lack of connected overworld drops it slightly below Sunshine

I got bored after the first world in Galaxy and stopped. The multiple tiny planet design sucked so much
I do want to give Galaxy 2 a shot at some point

I can finally continue my 100% run of 3d Mario games, I got through all 3 games on 3d all stars a few years ago, then stopped cause I wanted to go in order.

A lot of people griped about the price of the game, but even now Galaxy 1/2 are like some of the greatest games ever made. I mean money talks. If these games weren't still up to par, it wouldn't be a current #1 game seller on Amazon and one of the highest pre-orders in a while
