I mentioned yesterday in another topic how I used to run these tournaments up until about last year, and now I want to do one again. I figured Bleach would be a good pick for three reasons.

A - I like Bleach.
B - It's a finished series, so I don't have to worry about new characters being added (unless the manga is picked back up for a Hell Arc, which would be cool)
C - The cast is juuuuuuuuust the right size that I can make a 128 character bracket without having to overlook anyone important or add too much filler.

So, I made a list. 128 characters exactly, and I'm pretty pleased that I didn't need to combine any characters into a duo/trio (well, there is one exception, but it makes sense) or make too many important cuts. I will say that the list is made from my own bias, I basically just looked at the list on the Bleach Wiki and added them if I personally felt like they were important or memorable enough to make the cut. To help counteract this and build a good bracket before seeding anyone, I'm posting that list here.

This topic also serves as a temperature check for interest in the tournament. If you are interested in this tournament, just vote for any of the options in the poll so I can get a head count and decide if it's worth the time and effort of running it.

I didn't add anyone from filler or movies, I stuck with canon characters that are relevant in both the manga and anime. Based on the Dragon Ball tournament, a filler/movie character probably wouldn't have made it far anyway.

You may notice that some names are localized and others aren't, that's because I'm an inconsistent little bastard.

Feel free to tell me if you think one character should be swapped for another. There are a couple of characters that COULD be combined into one entry if additional space needs to be made, but I kind of want to avoid doing that.

Some of the filler arcs were fun, and some could've been if they weren't back-to-back and delaying main story progress lol

I'm kinda mad the series ended without a Hell arc. Why even introduce Hell early on, if it wouldn't eventually come back as a plot point? I always thought it was coming. I think there was a Hell movie but that's not canon. And not as good as a full series arc. 2 hours or less vs like maybe 50 or more episodes of a Hell arc

No love for the Turn Back the Pendulum arc? Or is it grouped under a larger umbrella since it was relatively short.
