DuneMan 09/29/25 5:02:40 PM #6:	Setting aside the "never support JK Rowling" aspect. It is at its core a functional, though not outstanding, action game. Where it soars is in recreating the school of Hogwarts itself. The first few hours spent exploring will be, for fans of the franchise, relatively delightful. Hogsmeade isn't bad either. But it is also worth noting that a lot of intended content was cut from the game due to publisher insistence. A chief aspect is no Quidditch, as that was spun off into a separate game. Also, attending classes quickly falls off from a full experience the first day to vignettes and silent shorts later on. Outside of the core locations the game consists of a formulaic Ubisoft open world. It can be fun to fly around on a broom for an hour or two, but the charm will wear off. In short, it's certainly worth a few bucks on sale if you're interested in the Harry Potter setting. You'll have to decide for yourself if you want to uphold a personal boycott of anything even remotely related to JK Rowling. If it influences things at all, the devs separate themselves from her views, being rather inclusive. But I did like the video game Bully, Personas, and Fire Emblem Three Houses.
