The correct option in the first game is always to dump the sword. Picking the shield or the bonker both have merits. I personally prefer the shield, at least on proud mode. ... Copied to Clipboard!

When I was a kid I always kept the sword and dropped the shield, and after replaying the game as an adult I learned I was playing on hard mode by doing that. --- Time is a funny thing, you know? i always go staff drop sword that extra MP and the abilities you get from leveling make things absurd with ripple drive you can also get the extra benefits of picking sword or shield with power or defense ups, while in kh1 there's no item to boost your MP like those magic very quickly becomes a nuke and your physical output is not too bad either --- >there will never be another Tales game as good as Xillia 2 ever again ... Sword offers nothing Shield you get an xtra item slot Staff +1 mp. Total mp=magic damage 2nd game no special bonus. Staff gives item find ability at 99 though. ... Copied to Clipboard!
