Why is my heart breaking over this silly little cartoon bug?

I did the quest for finding Sherma in Whiteward and played the needolin on a whim. His song is slower and he's all shaken up and crying about how he isn't holy enough and wondering how all the suffering and pain in the Silent Hill hospital escaped the sight of the Citadel :(

I backtracked and did the flea celebration stuff. I feel like I needed the reward. I'm currently on the Lost Lace battle(final act boss). I can get pretty close to winning I think, but it's so hard to see where she is and I haven't managed it just yet.

I beat that annoying ass final boss, and I think I found everything except 2 optional bosses (unless the two spaces I have for boss trinket things are something else) and the last 2 spool thread pieces (no idea where they are).

Hmmm, Longclaw or do I keep with the thing that gives my tools poison?

I find I do far more of my damage with my Needle, so having it have a longer range seems like a great idea. But also, poison with tools is nice.

Haha, just ran into First Sinner in Act 2. Oooof, alright. Here we go!

Alright, it took about 10 attempts but I got First Sinner beat. Woo!

REALLY fun fight. Once you learn the fight it rewards you for being aggressive, and that is so counter to a lot of what the game has been about so far. It was fun to just let it all go.

It's so nice to fight a boss that doesn't spam annoying ass mobs. Just you and the Boss.

Ok, officially completed the game. I ended at 91% and 74 hours.

Final battle wasn't awful, I ran out of shards and didn't want to go back for more. Managed to eventually wrap things up with only tossing out a couple of spikes in the final phase as it transitioned.

I'm getting the urge to run a second playthrough of this.

I think I ended up at over 100+ hours by the time I'd finished the game for 100%.

No idea where the time went, lol. Had too much fun poking around, exploring, trying to find secrets and things, doing runbacks, giving up on one boss to do others.... just like Hollow Knight, I just enjoyed spending time in this world.

I might go for a red/purple quill on playthrough 2.

Finished the game at 100% in about 45 hours, though technically I think I missed one boss in the Sands area and I didn't turn in the relic you get in the Abyss, but I might just wait for DLC to do that clean-up.

I think people oversold this game's "Path of Pain" - I thought Mount Faye and the ascent you do at the beginning of Act 3 were a bit harder because they were timed.

Also the hardest boss to be ended up being the first Savage Beastfly fight - you have so few resources when can first get to it. Father of the Flame was the only boss I had to come back to though, since I didn't buy the fire defense tool until after I first encountered it.

Fucking savage beast fly 1 and 2 were probably the worst in my existence. First Sinner went down in one try as well.

Lost Lace was probably the hardest boss in the game for me. Took me about 2 or so hours of attempts. I also handicapped myself by not using my tools cause I thought there was another phase. Whoops.

Karmelita gave me hell, lol. Her and Lost Lace took multiple hours each to beat. I have Joe Exotic-esque Carol Baskin style hate for her. I will curse her name 'till the day I die.

I think probably the Wanderer crest is just great for certain bosses. When you keep that pressure up you get enough to heal and do serious damage such that certain fights were easier than others.

I haven't used any other crest than the Hunter Crest. I'm sure that there are other ones that are better for different situations, but it's worked for me just fine.

I've only had 10+ retries on a boss once, and I think I'm close to the end of Act 2?

Wanderer's crest felt like the crest to use if I was serious about a fight, otherwise it was beast crest all the way. But there's just some bosses that move so god damned much you barely can hit them in time to heal. So wanderer's crest was my cheat mode.

I was split pretty evenly on bosses with using Wanderer or Architect. Sometimes I had an easier time locking in on dueling and grabbing quick damage (and silk regen) with the Wanderer, other times getting up close for the duels seemed like a bad idea and that zoning and poking while using the Architect's tools felt like the better way to get ahead with DPS.

I liked how often I was able to switch it up and feel like taking a different approach made a difference.

finally beat the game, oof lost lace phase 3 absolutely murders the S1's FPS. Still, one of my favorite fights, especially after getting used to it. Might try to beat her with Hunter or Wanderer at some point (used Reaper)

The maps in citadels really are tricky, makes me appreciate shakra alot more lol

That one just could not have been more obvious. The only map in the game I had trouble finding.

I vaguely know that you need to do all the quests to actually enter Act 3, so I've skipped one on purpose, but is there anything else I should be doing before I get what I assume is the base ending?

not before, but after beating the game you can get cursed and beat act 2 boss again for a different ending. If you already got uncursed or go to act 3 it's not possible anymore.

I played both docked and handheld over the course of my time with the game. Final boss was first night handheld second day docked. It could have been but I just didn't notice, probably just adrenaline

Alright finished it, lost lace isnt as difficult as karmelita imo. Maybe the expectations were different, i expected her to be very difficult so i locked in since the start.

Anyway, it has been great boys and gals. It has been an amazing journey trough pharloom.

Anyway, congratulations on beating the game!

Finally beat the final boss after an hour of attempts. Used Reaper Crest with the multi heal and faster heal tools. Used the nail and like 2 cogflies at the end. I focused on countering its moves as much as I could but it was still like 5 minutes of fighting non stop.

Got 100% in 67 hours. Onwards to that new Pokemon game I guess.

Grats to everyone beating the game. I was struggling a bit on the final boss, but I never really felt comfortable with the party mechanic. I used the architect's crest once I unlocked it, so the more difficult pogos probably played into it.

I needed a guide to find the last few items. 100% at a bit over 50 hours.

Looking forward to the DLC updates at the very least.

And how do you unlock that? Im running in circles now. I recently climbed Mount Fay and discovered Memorium.

I beat the game? Isn't there an Act 3? I defeated Grand Mother Silk and like binded her and the game ended?

There's a quest that unlocks it. Silk and Soul I think was the name? You need to move the flea caravan to its final location and do enough quests too.

Ugh, I feel like I've found so many fleas. This will be slightly annoying.

Yeah, the fleas were what we're holding me back too. There were 3 that I knew where they were but couldn't figure out how to get to them. Once got them, I got access to the next part.

Thank God I only needed one more!

Hrmmm, I looked up the other requirements and I'm pretty sure I did them all but it doesn't seem to be triggering the quest.

I feel like I did... but I've discovered I never went to Bilewater. So if there is a quest there I need to do, it's there.

Did you find the item to prevent the maggots from crawling all over you? I did bilewater after that item, and it makes the area more tolerable
