Which did you like more as a kid?

Pokemon... I love both of them a lot but Pokemon has always been my comfort food of video games...

Digimon since its a bit darker and the games were good. Good animes to.

Pokemon for video games (although I've never actually played a Digimon video game, so that's kind of a default), Digimon for anime and card game.

Neither, at the time they came out, yeah both came off as primarily a kid oriented franchise and I was a bit out of the target audience. Basically know nothing about Digimon and my Pokmon experience is mostly limited to the first Smash Brothers game. Nothing against either franchise, but no interest in either.

I've tried to get into Digimon countless times but everything about the franchise is so confusing to me. I don't like most of the creature designs too.

Pokemon.

I spent grades 2 through 4 spending every recess pretending to be a Pokemon on the playground with a pack of wild lesbians.

Grade 3 was largely dedicated to beating the shit out of imaginary Digimon.

Pokemon always felt more memorable.
You could talk to almost anyone and they would most likely know what pokemon is, old or young.

It sounds silly, but Digimon was probably one of the most transformative media I'd seen as a kid. It was probably just one of those things where the right thing hits the right part of your brain at the right time in your life.

I loved Pokemon for sure, but Digimon was just special.

Also, thinking about it some more, when I was a kid and my friends and I pretended to be superheroes, there was also Digimon stuff involved in that, as part of the continuity of those adventures involved our world having a digi-world, and a few of us had Digimon partners, some of which also went to the Star Trek universe and joined Starfleet. I actually have a Star Trek: Digimon series I would love to make based on that.

Pokemon: Better games (in fact the only Digimon game I played as a kid was Digimon World 4 at my friends, which... yeah, not a great game, and I don't really find the pet sim or super grindy nature of most other Digimon games all that appealing.)

Digimon: Better shows, by far.

Though, Pokemon was very consistent, something I could always come back to, while Digimon's lack of consistency and eventual channel hopping, schedule hopping, and then disappearing for years did put Pokemon at a distinct advantage for childhood memories even with inferior shows.

I only ever played Pokemon games as a kid, but I did enjoy the Digimon Tamers anime. That's the only Digimon media I ever engaged with in childhood. It was better than any Pokemon anime.

Though I heard the writer became a Japanese MAGA later.

Pokemon was more omnipresent for me growing up, had all the gameboy games but also have always liked digimon

I loved Pokmon games, but I didn't enjoy the show that much. I watched Digimon every Saturday morning on Fox Kids. I have never played a digimon game though. I might try Time Stranger when it comes out.

Pokmon has a much better history of making games. Only Digimon game I liked was Digimon World 2 on an emu to speed up the unskippable long attack animations, but even that is a grindfest.

Just by anime, Digimon especially the 90s and 2000s stuff.

Even then while I can't give any assessment on the manga for Digimon, Pokmon Adventures is worth a read.

Pokemon by far, but I did enjoy Digimon too.

Digimon, but neither of them were a big part of my childhood. I liked the Digimon show more than the Pokemon show. I didn't play the games for either of them.

Digimon

Pokemon. I was into Digimon for the 1-3 seasons of the show but it got confusing kinda quick. And I never latched on to the digimon games like I did Pokemon.

Now it just feels too big to get into.

Digimon, I played the shit out of digimon world 2.

Digimon had the better story and it was scary. Pokemon was first and had the better videogames and music, though, so Pokemon. I like Digimon a lot though, especially the first few seasons culminating in that vampire final boss.

Pokmon.

The nature of what any individual Digimon series even was, varied so wildly, you never knew what you were even getting, until you actually start watching it. For example, as amazing as it may be, Digimon Savers is such a wildly different vibe from the majority of the other series. Pokmon is far more consistent. The most comparable thing to Digimon, would be how Yugioh can shift in tone such 5Ds & Arc V compared to everything else, but even that isn't nearly as drastic as Digimon, & that's not even touching on the spectrum of Digimon games.
