You can not only lose by going bankrupt, but also by running out of fuel or getting blasted by an opponent's lasers. SolarQuest has 91 spaces and 48 purchasable properties, compared to Monopoly with 28 properties you can buy out of 40 total spaces. The board was vertical and the pieces had little hooks so they could hang off the face of the mountain. There were numerous obstacles such as a goat that would headbutt players, a giant snowball, a cave that would send you sliding down the board, and path segments that would move. If your piece fell off the mountain, you had to start over again. I have a deck of French Tarot cards, but I don't know anyone who knows how to play that game either. I usually put card and board games together. My favorite is probably Skip-bo. It's so fun, works your brain a little but isn't too hard at all. I still laugh about the time a friend was playing with us and they kept getting recycled, over and over again to the same area of the board and THEN kept hitting the "You had a baby" space.....
