I dunno how accurate it is, but I saw some social media posts saying how his legs were broken, and asking how it's suicide if that's the case.

anyway, RIP to him.

I find it a little odd how officials immediately stated that foul play wasn't involved in a scenario where virtually everybody would automatically assume would be a suicide.

Truth be told, I suspect that it's not a suicide at all.

I hope this wasn't a hazing thing.

If his legs really were broken though that is not a suicide. Going to need confirmation.

Yeah, I don't want to go all conspiracy, but I do wonder a bit.

I feel awful for his family.

Rip. The word deceased really wasn't necessary. That's kind of the implication. Also agreed about the foul play statement. Especially if the broken legs statement is accurate. Nobody is climbing trees if their legs are broke.

Honestly, if there's no sign of struggle, I would guess it's probably suicide.

people hang themselves publicly, its like a final call for help, or i guess a reprimand for never giving it. my brother was walking to school one morning and found his neighbor had hung himself out his 2nd story window.

One part of suicide is people who feel "unseen" and this is their way to ensure they're not ignored.

Yeah that's just plain crazy. Hopefully that's just not how Mississippi does things. I hope there's some actual detective work done here though.

This has happened a couple of times before and unfortunately (fortunately? There's no fortune in a situation like this) those were also determined to be suicides.

Yeah, I totally understand how people are eying this thing suspiciously, but a good coroner should be able to tell if someone was forcefully lynched.

I suppose you could argue that the coroner isn't good or is corrupt or something, but without some compelling information to indicate that, I wouldn't want to go too deep in the conspiracy well.

Even if they could prove beyond doubt it was a racially motivated attack the media would still ignore it in favor of Kirk

There was a girl that Facebook lived her suicide by hanging from a tree in her own backyard years ago so this isnt that unlikely of a suicide.

However a black man in Mississippi raises some alarms. This should be investigated pretty thoroughly. I doubt that it was or that it will be.

Yeah, lynchings are really hard to cover up because they're basically impossible to do without some sign of struggle and damage.
