They are saying he wants to pay tribute to Raul Julia with his performance and knowing the guy? He could do it! Also with CGI and props you could easily make him bigger in a way that fits the series. I feel like David Dastmalchian is a Raul Julia fan as a whole given his love for the horror and macabre stuff already. Andrew Koji could've pulled off being Fei Long (because he was basically Bruce Lee in Warriors), but I can see him being Ryu as well.
