A long, long time ago during my speedrunning days, I bought the pro controller that came with Odyssey since digital saves around 10-12 seconds, at least on the Switch over the physical version.

I never scratched it, and it has sat, unplayed. As this game has given me great wonders, I would like to present the opportunity to a CE'er to get to play it.

1. You must not have your own copy. This isn't just so you can have a physical and digital copy or a way to give a free present away.
2. You must intend on playing it.
3. You must not be one of those people who just lets their opinion be whatever a video essay tells you.
4. You must like Mario.
5. Give me a reason why you would not have played this game to date.

I don't want to give this copy away to someone who won't really value it, so would prefer to give it to someone who'd actually have a great, enjoyable time with it. No promises I will give it away if I feel like everyone trying to get it just wants to add it to their never-ending backlog or makes me feel like they are a weird snob about Mario and/or platformers in general.

Oh cool. Odyssey (and wonder) are ones I've been wanting to play. I haven't gotten much out of my Switch until very recently now that I've moved out of my folks house. Now I've got a dedicated setup docked on my big TV. Finally exploring stuff that's caught my eye. If I do receive it, I'll definitely give my unabashed thoughts. I tend to do that here anyway. Plus I've never seen a single video on it

Wow, thanks for the offer. I missed out on this game because I got a Switch after they were offering this game with the system. If I win this, I will definitely play this. I have been a huge Mario fan since I was a child and have played the majority of the main entry Mario games for each Nintendo system. I havent played this one because I am generally a fan of the 2D / 2.5D Mario side scrollers. The only 3D games that I have played and liked have been 3D World for Wii U and Sunshine for GameCube. Odyssey seems too different at the time of release with the ability to take over other characters and objects. Having recently watched gameplay of Donkey Kong Bonanza, my interest in Odyssey has greatly increased as I feel I may have dismissed a potentially epic Mario adventure. Thanks for the chance to play this!

Splatoon 2.

one of my biggest regrets is not shotgunning the game when i borrowed it for a bit from a friend. got to about new donk city then ended up needing to return it.

i will try to finish it. no guarantees about post-game content.

I've been meaning to get it, and then other things get in the way. New jobs, moving, new study, etc. Also Nintendo prices don't drop easily.

Like right now, I'm playing Silksong. But if you gave me Odyssey, I would play it immediately after Silksong. I like Mario enough that I defended Sunshine before it was cool.

I hardly bought any Switch games (I have Smash, BotW, Mario Maker 2, and Mario + Rabbids 1) because between Game Pass, Steam sales, etc. I always had way too many other things to play. I sort of planned to get Odyssey after finishing BotW, but after all this time distracted by other stuff, I haven't actually gone back to BotW for years now at this point. I do always enjoy a good 3D Mario game, especially the Galaxy games, so Odyssey was pretty much next in line in terms of Switch games all this time.
