This is the game. THE GAME. I've been waiting too long.

I think Aspyr finally burnt the last of their goodwill with the botched Battlefront remakes.

Personally, I wouldn't trust anyone to actually do it right, at this point. though I imagine nobody who worked at BioWare in 2003 works there in 2025 so you might could get the band back together.

I thought it got cancelled.

I do not, for one second, trust the KOTOR remake.

Frankly, I dont trust current star wars writers wnough to let them near KOTOR with a 40 foot pole. Some overambitious soul in the writer's room is going to try to "improve" the story, and "improve" it right into the ground.

Andor was incredible, but modern star wars writers seem to be at their best only when they stay as far away from the Force as possible. Kotor does NOT fit that description.

I'm really hoping it turns out good, because that's one of my all time favorite games. But damn the silence does not leave me with much confidence.

It hasn't been in Aspyr's hands since 2022

The Aspyr remake was canceled, and shifted to Saber Interactive instead. That was in 2022, not sure there's been any updates since.

From what I recall, while it was still under Aspyr, they showed off an internal demo to execs, and later that week the UX and UI leads were fired.

I agree TC. Sadly at this point I don't think it will ever come out. Then again, I thought the same for Bloodlines 2 and it will release in two months, so hopefully that is the case here too.

As a completely different game that many of us lost interest in.

The remake is allegedly still being made but nothing is known outside of that.

It honestly could easily be cancelled and they just never bothered to tell us.

I still have hope. Look how long Metroid Prime 4 was silent, and now we have a release window

Saber Entertainment is working it after Aspyr was removed from it.
