Also apparently Raja was invited by the wrestling promoters to come on stage and hit the guy for real? I guess that explains why all the other wrestlers hesitated for so long. They probably thought that after the beer thing the promoters invited Raja to get revenge, but the real punches they expected didn't stop coming.

tl;dr

he picked the wrestler up to suplex him as you would expect from wrestling which done right do no damage

then as wrestler was on the mat selling the suplex he mounts him and hits him in the head over and over and over

then someone pulls him off the wrestler is already out cold and he mounts him again and does it again

then the whole roster comes to pull him off him

the man is severely bleeding from his head

this is attempted murder

in addition had the other wrestlers not forcibly removed him he would have continued to punch him until he was clearly dead

there is no grey area here this man is a murderer

Im just pointing out that this is not hard to understand if you have any awareness of Rajas background. You already said the quiet part out loud its sad but not unexpected. You cannot pull out something unexpected on someone not properly trained to deal with that sort of pressure because they will revert to fight or flight and omg he tried it with a world class FIGHTER. So I can actually give some perspective on this, because I've been a martial artist for 33 years, led the North American branch of a martial arts federation, and fought in world-level tournaments.

No, this kid was not reverting to "fight or flight" - that is a instantaneous reaction, not something that happens minutes later after the instigating event has passed. And if he was as much of a "fighter" as you seem to think he is, he would have both better control of his emotions and enough awareness of the fight to understand when it's over. When someone is unconscious, that's it, fight's done. You've won. Whether you're fighting for victory or survival, there is no gain to beating an unconscious man; in both cases it's actually counterproductive (you're going to be DQ'd in the former instance, and you're pointlessly using energy on someone who isn't a threat anymore in the latter).

This isn't some "fighter's instinct" bullshit; it's exactly what it looks like - dude was a hothead who lost his temper and nearly killed someone as a result. He will likely get the book thrown at him and deservedly so.

In a fight when someones down & cannot defend themselves, either someone stops the fight or the defenseless person get critically injured and dies. Every undefended hit is about to kill the defenseless person. Thats why a street fights could result in a death of one of the brawlers involved. You just never know who yall fight.

In fighting bystander videos, 9 out of 10 times the fight ends with someone on the ground & the other moving away.

A trained mma fighter probably needs to have someone restrain the fighter. Id say fighters know when the match is over to kinda hold themselves back because another day is another match for both fighters some day for a pay day.

Prowrestling is a show. They improv a scenario where Raja Jackson could save face from the poor communication and mistake that started this entire thing. Wrestlers call out potential spots without explaining clearly to the fighter how to use the moment to make a show from it. The wrestler "let Raja punch him". The first few knocked the prowrestler out cold. Hes defenseless. It took a few seconds for everyone nearby to realize what was happening and restrain the mma fighter.

This aftermath is when reality sinks in as someone on the phone tells him the dude might of flatlined & isnt moving in the ring. The guy on phone telling Raja he overdid it - why he went too far. That probably gave him a reality check real quick from all the adrenaline from the fight he did. Then Raja knowing later that the wrestler ended up in the hospital.

Like im sorry i beat you to a pulp just doesnt seem right. Wonder how this gonna be handled. Its on the prowrestler to press charges or not right? Think the prowrestler will let this go as a professional show performer tho

I remember the time that Lesnar snapped at Braun Strowman during a match. Strowman accidentally kneed Lesnar in the head. Lesnar lost his shit and started punching Strowman in the head.

There is a give and take in wrestling, but it's among professionals. Last night's incident was anything but.

That whole beer can situation looks pretty intense. That looked like it did some real brain rattling damage, I can see why Raja couldn't just let it go. The dude got his bell rung and the wrestler seemed like he was egging it on. Definitely not an excuse on Raja's part to beat the shit out of him. He let his ego get the better of him to disastrous consequences.

This is a tragedy, two lives were ruined. After watching the video and reading the comments. Seems Raja snapped this this day. According to the comments Rampage Jackson bullied him his entire life. Probably in an attempt to make him a better fight and unleashing his rage in the ring. When Syko hit him with that can, dude just snapped. All of that emotion of being bullied by his dad and whatever other shit he was going through just swelled up in him. When he learned he could get payback in the ring, he focused that rage and unleashed it in the ring. Once he calmed down and heard he nearly killed the guy, I can see the guilt, regret and fear build in him and the shock. All he could mister was "My bad". He knows his life is over now. He knows everything is lost and he ain't getting nothing back. He let his demons win and he knows it. It's, just sad seeing someone break and destroy their lives and others. Fuckin, this world is tough. I see things like this as tragedies, just loss of life and hope. Raja will lose his youth and I hope that he finds redemption and solace in the future. I believe he is not completely lost yet, though the road will be difficult.

I hope Syko makes a full recovery and no permanent damage is done to him.

Seriously though imagine being so emotionally fragile that you try to legitimately kill a guy because he got one over on you in a theatrical verbal confrontation

When you pay someone back in kind. In pro wrestling terms, it's something like if you throw to stiff of a punch/kick or don't protect someone well enough in a move a person may give you a "receipt" in returning the favor.... i.e punch you a little bit harder, etc...

When one wrestler goes a little too hard (purposely or accidently), the other can get a real hit in as a form of payback.

So Raja was expected to get maybe one punch as payback for the can incident (which was a prop can), but instead he did 27 punches.

One very important detail is the can incident and the beating were hours apart, and Raja was live streaming the whole thing. While in the audience, Raja is talking about how he's allowed to go on stage for a hit, but he literally says he's going to keep punching until people pull him off. That's pre meditation, which is a much more serious offense.

People trying to defend Raja by saying he was in a fit of rage after the can, that might hold water if he immediately started swinging in that moment. But he had hours to calm down and think, but instead he planned to maul him in the ring. Jail time, no question.

Mr. Beast has offered to help and cover the victims hospital bills.

Hopefully Raja gets put in prison for this. Absolutely disgusting.

I recently watched a clip of Rampage streaming with his son and remember thinking how much of a dick Rampage was being to his kid and that his son looks insecure about it. Nothing excuses this as he's a grown-ass adult responsible for his emotions, but I'm not surprised something ended up happening.
