I've been watching wrestling for over 30 years, and have watched matches from the 80s. This is not comparable.

What you're describing is working stiff, which is when they agree to not pull their punches for certain strikes. What happened here was a guy who wasn't even a wrestler lost his temper, knocked a guy out without prior warning, and continued to lay into him after he was limp and unconscious.

This is basically an attempted premeditated murder. And no, busting a can over his head - whether it's shoot or kayfabe - does not justify what Raja did.

Im not struggling with anything maybe YOU are. Its not a wild possibility your last sentence is EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED. Im just pointing out that this is not hard to understand if you have any awareness of Rajas background. You already said the quiet part out loud its sad but not unexpected. You cannot pull out something unexpected on someone not properly trained to deal with that sort of pressure because they will revert to fight or flight and omg he tried it with a world class FIGHTER. Raja is a fighter, not an athlete and there is a HUGE difference athlete compete to win within boundaries but fighters are only trying to survive and their only goal is to be the last man standing totally different mentality and as his dad said it was a terrible idea from the start.

There is a give and take in wrestling, but it's among professionals. Last night's incident was anything but.

The whole thing, beer can and all, was supposed to be a work, Creek, and you know it. There is no way in HELL someone sitting at ringside at a pro wrestling show, even a bargain-basement one like this, gets into the ring without it being approved ahead of time. Security would have been on his ass before he could get to his feet on the mat, or one of the other wrestlers would have stopped him.

I know that and you know that but he didnt know that and this was the problem. You keep saying "world class fighter". He's only known because of his daddy. Since 2021, he's had 4 amateur wins, and only one professional fight, and that was a loss.

Of course, even then, sometimes they can't stop a fighter alone. Most famously in the Mike Kyle/Brian Olsen fight, it took two.
