I expected to lose interested in this emotionally after playing DS2, but I uh.....fell off DS2 hard, so now I'm strangely invested.

I'm saved in DS2 right before I can pop the platinum but holding off to save it for whenever I need it in the trophy contest

I highly encourage people to dip back into DS2 when they get a chance.

A lot of time this is code for bad stuff for lazy players, but if it's just like easier time managing the menus that's cool.

I've only played a bit so far, but swapping camo on the fly is has been pretty neat. Works just like swapping weapons/items.

The original game already had plenty of stuff for lazy players

But yeah, it seems like they've drastically reduced the amount of time you have to spend in menus

If you got good at the original you only needed to switch camo like 5 times anyway, and use cure/food a similar amount of times. It felt awesome learning and optimizing the game like that over a few playthroughs. The series has never really replicated that feeling again.

Yeah I wasn't really a big menu diver after my first playthrough either so it doesn't matter that much to me, but still. You can basically pretend the game has no camo and play like it's just mgs2

Odd quirk for PC players:

"Also for those with performance problems, for some reason the upscaling presets in the game aren't what they normally are, and should be. Dlss quality for example is 1600p, while dlss balanced is 1440p. These are normally 1440p and 1200p respectively, which would explain why it's so heavy for some users. So just a heads up, use ultra performance if you normally use performance on lower end gpus for example."

Especially as add-ons in collector's editions like this
