The issue for me was justifying the 450+tax for the like, 3 games I would be playing on it at this exact moment. I'm not a pokemon fan or a huge zelda fan nowadays and so I wouldn't be playing breath of the wild, tears of the kingdom, scarlet and violet, or the upcoming legends game. (Unless my bro decides to buy it for me as a gift like he did with legends arcues, so I played that one). If I had a switch 2 it would just be the pack-in mario kart world (a game that to be honest I don't even know if I would enjoy more than 8 deluxe in the long run. I wouldn't be into the open world thing that they tried for this game), DK bananza, and like fire emblem warriors (because of the performance boosts). I don't really use my switch in general for the majority of 3rd party games since portability isn't a huge priority for me and so I rather have these on the PS5/now pro instead. I do buy the occasional indie on the switch though, the games like dave the diver and possibly deltarune. (I also backed that mina the follower game and so plan on playing that one when it drops). Since these games release everywhere else they wouldn't be a system seller though, just something I would consider also buying a switch version for if I already had the switch itself. My nintendo priority is fire emblems, a potential new smash bros game, more 2D or 3D marios, and xenoblades, and so because these aren't a thing yet that was why I was originally waiting on actually getting a switch 2 right now.
