As long as long as we still have our phones, toys, movies, TV shows, & other distractions, I feel like besides some protests, people complaining online, no meaningful action will take place against this regime.

Its starting to feel like we need the trains not showing up on time situation that disrupts peoples everyday lives for something real to happen.

So much damage is going to be done by this administration. The next senate/congress is still a year and half away. Trump and GOP states are trying to make it extremely difficult for the democrats to win, so no guarantee this time the houses will flip.

Im not even sure what Im saying we should do in the meantime. Just something has to give. I talk to people IRL at my work all the time, completely clueless about what a lot of what Trump is doing.

I mean in 2020, if COVID hadnt happened and Trump didnt botch the response, he most likely would have won that election. It took something extreme to get him out of power for a few years.

I dunno, feeling pretty deflated about the country. The bad guys won.

Once he does something extreme enough to make even his most brain dead cultists turn on him it'll already be too late

Extreme? You mean stacking the Supreme Court in order to overturn Roe v Wade? What about conspiring to overturn the election results and when failing that initiating a coup?

There's a video somewhere of a kind of prank interviewer that went around to MAGA people and asked what their reaction was to Biden doing all these terrible things. Of course their response was harsh. But every time, the reporter would be like 'no wait, i'm sorry, my notes were mixed up, those actions were of Donald Trump'

To which ALL of them suddenly became really calm and gave off the 'thats not so bad' kinds of answers.

It is way too late to stop Trump.

Leading up to the election he told us every evil thing he was planning. How he wanted to end elections, how he wanted to get rid of gay marraige, how he would loot America dry. He screamed those things at the top of his lungs.

People like you heard that, than climbed your soap box to speak about the evils of... Harris.

It's too late to stop him now.

I feel like the only thing that'll spur people to action is mass execution toward those who are not kind to Trump, including online. But by then it'll be way too late to do anything.

Most American conservative Christians are not really following the true teachings of their messiah. Jesus, if he existed, and the Bible is accurate, was a liberal, I believe this. The New Testament clearly describes Jesus as a socialist. But American conservatives don't understand that, somehow. They follow a fictional version of Jesus that is the exact opposite of the one in the bible

I took this to be physically fight as in march in and physically remove him.

And honestly I don't think most people are going to be willing to do that without drastic measures. Maybe if those headlines I saw about Trump wanting to declare war on Mexico to suspend the 28 elections ends up coming true we could see it... but as long as people got their phones and whatever to play with I doubt many will care enough.

This is one of those weird things people bring up a lot. Plenty of places have privatized post offices and it doesn't really matter much. I don't know why people think this is so important that it would be a catalyst for revolution. Like of all the things to be worried about this one just leaves me baffled. Japan, Germany, Portugal, and the UK all have private post offices and it just doesn't matter. You probably wouldn't have known that if I hadn't mentioned it.
