Everybody knows he's bulletproof, but every time he shows up everyone pulls out a gun to threaten him with

And then they open fire, as if they wouldn't literally be better off trying to use the gun as a club

Also how do his clothes keep getting bullet holes in them if he's bulletproof, shouldn't the bullets just briefly push the clothes against him before bouncing off and not actually go through anything?

he is bulletproof, his clothes are not

if you took a hammer to an anvil with a t shirt in between, you'd put a hole in the shirt too

Is he that well known? Also iirc doesn't he just dress like some guy, instead of say blue and yellow spandex like Wolverine?

In one episode Luke goes, "Really?" with a smirk and the guy says something like, "Hey I have to look like I tried".

Think it was s2e1 cause everybody knew his reputation already.

He becomes the "Hero of Harlem" by s2 and in s2 everybody knows him on sight cause he's just a dude in a hoodie walking into criminal activity and casually smacking people upside the head into unconsciousness.

His s1 final fight was recorded and went viral.

Also s2 has a literal Luke cage tracking app lol.

His outfits in s2 often have bullet holes cause he stops caring so that sorta becomes his yellow spandex.

They were really pushing that app and it just wasn't organic at all lmao

On one hand, I'd get it to respond to a threat with your best line of defense, but on the other, if you recognize him and can run two brain cells together, like yeah, why not just run

I can understand it early on where most people would mistake him as "Just some random dude".

But if he's famous enough later on, yeah it really doesn't make any sense outside of a token "Hey boss, I totally tried!" attempt.

For the same reason people pull guns on Superman. They should know that he's bulletproof but they still try and fail.
