I don't remember anything coming off the top of my head that I would consider a contender.

Death Stranding or MH are looking like the mainstream ones but we may get an indie darling like blue prince too.

I can see Yotei being a contender. Its not everyones cup of tea but Tsushima was great and well received. This should be too.

Ghost of Yotei, Metal Gear Solid Delta, Metroid Prime 4, and Silent Hill f.

maybe also that Cronos game by Bloober.

Ghost of Yotei and Borderlands 4... At least for me....

I forgot about Yotei, does sound like the storngets out of all the mentioned games, Metroid 4 could be but I dunno its been so long since they did a prime game that it may be hit or miss.

If i had to make a prediction.. Probably the most GOTY nominations are going to go to E33, Death Stranding 2, Donkey Kong Bananza and Ghosts of Yotei at this point, Metroid Prime 4 could get the nod but its hard to say.. same with monster hunter wilds

I can't imagine a game that seems like a meme game getting a GOTY nomination.

The only GotY contenders are M(ario)KW, D(donkey)KB, D(rag)xD, K(irby)AR, Pokemon Legends Z-A and M(etroid)P4 that's it.

Expedition 33 is the highest rated indie and Split Fiction and DK are the highest rated mainstream.

Metroid Prime 4 is the only other game I'm getting on day one, but I don't see it overtaking Expedition 33 or Bananza.

Yotei and Slient Hill F could get nominations, but E33 is going to sweep most of everything.

It sounds drastically better than the first one. If it came out next year I'd say it's definitely a contender. No way it can beat Expedition 33 though

Maybe noms but SH2R getting shut out combined with the mere existence of E33... I don't think it's getting anything from "Kojima is my best friend" Geoff Keighley

Ghost of Yotei
Split Fiction
Hollow Knight Silksong if it comes out in 2025

EDIT: Even outside of TGA, I expect E33, Bananza, and Yotei to sweep.

Silent Hill is not getting shit, maybe best soundtrack but then again yamaoka is not doing all of it.

I mean, after playing through it, I don't think Death Stranding 2 should be nominated, but I've been surprised before.

That's true. I remember being underwhelmed from playing Super Mario Galaxy after seeing all the hype it was getting, and I'm getting the same vibe from the Donkey Kong Bananza.

Astro Bot was like a lite version of Mario Galaxy and it won last year. I'd definitely say this applies more to PS titles when it comes to TGA at least.

Air Riders comes out on November 20. Isn't that too late to get in? Although I just realized that if MP4 is a December title that means MP4 might not be a contender either.

I think its gonna split down the middle between Expedition 33 and Death Stranding 2. Haven't beaten either game but you can tell very early on that they're very special.

Bananza obviously deserves a nom. Same with MKW. I don't think Yotei will be anything special considering the first game was very paint by the numbers AAA. I would like to see MP4 be a great game but I have my doubts. Kirby Air Ride looks great, but its not gonna get anything.
