It feels surreal that the military and hundreds of federal agents from different agencies are deploying to the streets of the country's capital when literally nothing is happening there. And we are going about our day like everything is normal. None of it is normal. I feel powerless and weird.

Like, the deployment of the military to LA was also absolutely unwarranted but there was some vague semblance of a justification ("riots"). In DC there's what... Homeless people that have been there for decades? There's no possible pretext for what the government is doing there.

Organize and protest. Join a local 50501 group. If you don't have one- consider creating one or organize with another group in your state. Also....stop buying from big business. Support decent people, not the billionaires/oligarchs of the U.S

Compassion in 2025? Where? Christianity in 2025 has nothing in common with where it started.

That stopped in Middle Ages during the Investiture Controversy.

Ever since then those in power at Churches have fought to control the world and the governments within it.

This is why Seperation of Church and State was created in order to avoid that from happening here.

However, these new "pastors" want to blow all that up for for greed doctrine of "give me money so you can have money" which by definition prays on the less fortunate of society. Sure, there's a lot churches doing good, being a light in the community, etc. But there's also a hell of a lot others which are just MLMs masquerading as churches. To say nothing of numerous cases of sex abuse occuring within their walls. The Catholic Church is currently trying to argue they shouldn't have an obligation to report sex abuse if they hear about it in the U.S. How the hell can you help anyone as a supposed moral guide if that is your stance as an adult?

Christianity today is nothing more than a large group of racist, sexist, and narcissistic heathens pretending to be prophets, especially at the pastor-level.
