The reason behind the buffalo's attack on the trackers remains unclear.

A big game hunter has been fatally gored by the buffalo he was pursuing for a trophy kill in South Africa.

I dunno if buffalo are the same way in this regard, but bison are evidently actual hell spawn. We went on a drive thru self-tour of wildlife in Minnesota last year, and the bison enclosure was like something out of Jurassic Park, with signs everywhere that were basically like "YOU ARE GOING TO DIE AND IT IS NOT OUR FAULT."

We didn't see any bison, and I was ok with that, lol.

They aren't that dangerous, so long as you've got common sense. I mean, you wouldn't want to get close to one, but so long as you stay in the car, you're fine. There's some close to here up in the Wichita mountains and I've been going to see them since I was a kid. If you leave them alone, they leave you alone.

That said, I have seen some people get real close to them to take pictures... I mean within 30 feet, and those people were lucky to walk away uninjured. I've seen footage of people meddling them at Yellowstone and it didn't go well for them.

I know this sounds hypocritical but hunters are some of the biggest contributors to wildlife preserves, and this goes all the way back to Teddy Roosevelt who set up a lot of national parks and was called the "conservation president."

Modern day trophy hunting is so deeply entwined with poaching that it's impossible their claims at face value.

Ask them why they can't just give money to conservation without killing things and they'll just get mad at you

Honestly, I think one of the main reasons they give so much to wildlife preserves is so they will have a place to go hunt stuff

Of course they do. By and large they're just sociopaths, not humanitarians.

It's also so weird that they keep doing unethical things like luring out protected research animals. They cna whine all they want, but it's impossible to feel bad for them when an animal kills them instead.

This isn't like the nature photographer who just had bad luck and a moose saw him as a threat. This was a dude just going out of his way to kill an animal for a trophy.

You'd think, but most of them don't even take any risks. It's just high powered weapons from a safe distance because they're just after the kill.

At first I was like "lol", but upon consideration, this doesn't really hold up. The incentive for them to fund wildlife conservation is because they want there to be wildlife to hunt. They could fund it without hunting, but then why would they? Like, there's no gotcha there. The reason they fund it is transparent.

Truly, it is a mystery why it might have done that.

They claim, utterly and with straight faces, how much they love nature and want to protect it. They talk how much they love and respect wildlife and nature and all the good they do

Buffalo also kill lions so they know who the bad guys are in their world. Humans and our ancestors have been around long enough in Africa that it's most likely an evolutionary response.
