It's not about you specifically. Anybody who claims to be leaking something is assumed to be lying or making things up by default. Only established leakers with credibility get a single pinch of salt. Anything else is about as worthwhile as a Nintendo uncle. Like you.

Because it's not their secret. They are not under NDA or have any formal affiliation where they need to keep it a secret. If there's a problem with leaks it needs to be addressed with the people at the source who are leaking the stuff. There's no obligation for random members of the public to hoard the info to them and a small amount of people they deemed to be on their inner circle. That's just sad.

Honestly this is fair. I only see it from my own point of view. If I'm just some stranger, yeah who's to say right. It's not easy to find the balance without just not talking about it at all. But I want to talk about it, because it's one of my main hobbies right. I actually hate that about insider culture. A lot of these are just random people, not really working in the game industry and they have a lot of info, a lot of accurate info. And they just keep it to themselves and some small circles. It's really kind of pathetic honestly. Like hoarding video game info.

So if a trusted friend told you something about themselves or a project they're working on and asked you not to tell anyone else, you'd spread it around anyway because you didn't sign an NDA, therefore violating that friend's trust?

Yeah, just speaking observationally, you do seem to think like the world revolves around you. You're not just a random person who just scrawls through the internet for all the rumors you can find? You're not just saying it to a small community and circles instead of spreading it as wide as possible on big platforms?

No but honestly that's not really what I'm talking about and not how it's happening with the stuff I'm referring to. Most of those people you wouldn't even know they have any info because they don't talk about it. I'm talking more about online personalities and things like that.

Have you considered that these people either

A - Respect that it's not their moral obligation to spread secrets and leaks around

B - Are liars who are claiming to have had info in advance AFTER it's already come out and nobody can prove them wrong?

I'm saying like if you knew I had info on something and you asked me about it on here and I gave you some riddle as an answer or ignored you or said I can't talk about. I don't do that. I just talk about it freely and transparently. No one is under any obligation to spread the info on any particular platform.

Oh really? Then why don't you give a leak to some stuff? Explain where you learned the info. Explain the details like their release dates, the platforms they're releasing on, what's in the games etc. I haven't really noticed you until recently but from what I remember you do the exact kind of vague and non-descript "leaking".

Well that's because I don't really have detailed info like materials and things like that. I have basic info that's not really that hard to get if you even passively have a connection to anyone in these leaking communities.

That's not leaking then. You're just repeating what others say. But even here, there's a simple question you can be transparent on. Which leaking communities are those? What leakers are you following? If you can't even say that then you're not speaking freely or transparently.

I guess so. I mean leaking isn't an exact definition. The information is a leak, assuming it's correct. The info comes from a variety places honestly. I have not really had new info in quite a while actually, most stuff I am posting here is info I got a while ago from contacts I lost as I don't really put any effort into maintaining these relationships anymore. Obviously, I am not going to name any names. The people I got the info from mostly either worked in a minor role in the game industry (or peripheral to it if you want to call it that) or someone who was connected with someone who did.

You can't name names? Why not? You're on a private locked board on an old school message board. You're not on a big platform like twitter or youtube. What minor role? What companies? What were those connections?

I'd say I could DM you some info if you actually wanted to know, if I wasn't unsure if you'd just come and post screenshots on here in some attempt to do another "gotcha" on me. Posting stuff that can be tied back to people is kind of risky honestly. Let me think about it.

I can give some general stuff. One guy worked at a place where he had direct access to sega/atlus info. That's how I got some of my atlus stuff that was super accurate and not found anywhere online at the time (That I know of at least).

Can you prove any of this? I'm going to assume this is about P3 Reload going on Switch 2 which has been a popular guess since it released. I myself figured it would. This is why track record is important. And your track record's not looking very great.

I can't prove it with absolutely no uncertainty, no. That's pretty hard to do. I had no idea about persona reload on switch 2.

What were your sega/atlus leaks and when did you post them? Provide evidence.

Back in the days when Super Smash Brothers Brawl was doing its daily reveals on the website, I made a joke topic on LUE about how "The next character to be added will be Diddy Kong, and he will use his peanut guns and jetpack in his moveset."

Literally the very next day the SSBB update was a reveal for Diddy Kong, with screenshots showing him using his peanut guns and jetpack.

This doesn't make me a "leaker". This makes me a person who made a lucky, well-timed guess.
