Walking on eggshells when you're posting on that board.

There are a lot of people there who have problems with the idea of a nuanced opinion. You either endlessly praise Nintendo, or if you so much as say one remotely negative thing even if the other 99% is positive, you're a hater.

To be fair, this board isn't any better sometimes ;)

It's better to just avoid online Nintendo fans, I think.

That is true but this guy is so angry at me he's archived my posts going back years and has a library of them and pulls them out every time I make a thread, relevant or not. That's super angry stuff and pretty weird behavior there. Who does that.

It's not really. Like I can't even remember a post from a few days ago that people make about video games or products on here. Some people are so upset they remember years back and archive the posts and have a library of them ready to go and have a rant a year later. That's wild man, seriously.

Claiming people shouldn't remember other people's posts from over a few days ago seems to be counter to your goal of wanting people to remember your supposed leaker cred that spans from years ago.

I'm not saying you should or shouldn't remember anything. If you got so upset over some comments I made about a video game to the point you're bringing it up a year later in an unrelated thread, I'm just saying that's pretty wild stuff alright. Like outside of here I don't think anyone would really think that's reasonable. I don't care about my leaker cred, I just share things in good faith that I think other people will find interesting and I'm fully transparent about the information I have, where I get it from, what happened when something went wrong etc. I'm not here to try and build my brand and get patreon donations.

Well you're missing the context here. I bring that up because it's people who start arguments that claim I'm blindly copying things from reddit, resetera and other parts of the web and guessing at which stuff is right or wrong. If I did that, there's no way I would be as accurate as I am here, as fake or wrong info is posted constantly on those and other sites all the time, and I'd have no way to tell what is right from wrong.

Regarding being a random liar, I could see the argument if I was always posting fake stuff on here. I've said it before - if I was just posting fake stuff constantly then telling me to shut up is fair. Hell, I'd want myself to shut up at that point. That's not what I'm doing though. Overwhelming amount of it is accurate. I've got a few things wrong. No one is perfect.

All of this requires rememberance which you claim is weird and something you yourself don't do. If people don't remember anything past a few days how is anyone supposed to know how accurate you are and that you don't post fake stuff constantly? The default assumption is that people leaking are likely lying.

I don't think it's that bad. There are a lot of perspectives regarding the Switch 2 and you get a lot of them on that board. Yes, certainly, there are users that are always pro- or anti- whatever, but nuanced opinions frequently show up as well, I think.

Quite the contrary, I think it's better to interact with them, so you don't end up like those weirdos that think Nintendo fans buy Nintendo games because they think the company is their "friend" or some other divorced from reality opinion that can only be had by watching clickbait or reading posts from users that warp the worst case fan as actually being the average fan.
