Even with cloud storage, 128 is still not enough for all of the apps I have. Not much left for on-device video recording before upload.

And phone manufacturers are being cheap. If everyone used the latest UFS standard, 256 would be the default.

Probably but I've settled around 512 GB for my phones. I don't really use cloud storage and I like knowing I have much more local storage than I need.

Nope. I could get by with 128, but Id rather not have worry about it. Im currently using 123/256GB on my iPhone 14 Max. Ill use up 128 quickly when I upgrade to the 17 this fall.

That depends on what you mean. If I streamed all my music from Navidrone, maybe. But the OS itself and updates are so large these days, so I doubt it. I have relatives coming to me all the time with 32 GB phones that are too full to update and having me delete stuff etc.

if its for internal storage, I think its passable. Depending on the phone, phone software updates could kill an easy +20GB. So youll at least have ~100GB of internal storage for other stuff.

as far as expandable storage/SD cards go, I think 128GB is good for multi media. You can either download a lot of music on it, store a bunch of pictures have a couple of movies on it or store a bunch of games on it. No matter what you use it for, its definitely very convenient to have ~120GB of storage

I don't use my S24 FE for anything but calls/text. I don't download apps. 128 GB is overkill plenty.

It was enough for my pixel 2XL, but considering that pictures and video are even higher quality now on my Pixel 8XL, and I still have my old photos, and Pokemon go.. 256.GB would be ideal.

I'm already using 100 GB on my Pixel 8 XL, almost 2 years later. I bought a 512 GB model, which was a bit overkill, but there were no 256 GB models at the time.

Easily. One of my phones has 128gb and the backup has 32gb. I have every app I need installed on the 32gb phone.

I could get by, but 256 is the sweet spot. Get such mileage out of the dropbox sub.
