It's better value compared to Subway, it's like ten times the flavor for costing 20% more.

I would honestly rather have Subway. At least it has a lot of customization. Italian sub is always my go to and the one at Jersey Mike's is literally an inch of ham, another inch of lettuce, and a slice of salami. They cut their bread all the way through like psychopaths so you end up with a lap full of lettuce and meat sliding out of every side of the sandwich. And the whole "freshly sliced for every sandwich" thing is just such a waste of time. I used to work at Jimmy John's and a full line was supposed to make a sandwich in 30 seconds. At Jersey Mikes you just stand there watching some dude slicing meat before they can even start making it. And the meat isn't even that good.

firehouse is fine but has quiznos actually gotten better? because while it was great like a decade ago the last few years their quality has been complete shit.

every sub place is overpriced. subway is the worst with how crap their quality is and how skimpy their portions are. i went to get some of the happy gilmore 2 cups. first time i went in forever and got a wrap and a sub. the sub was so damn skimpy. got a footlong but it easily could have all fit in a 6 inch. the wrap is the size of a 6 inch but they put a footlong inside of it but still barely get any meat on it.

never tried jerseys mikes but been wanting to give it a try. their prices are just pretty crazy and feel like i'll get a regular(think it's 8 inch) and eat it and still be hungry after but i'm not dropping damn near 20 for a giant and doing like any "mikes way" makes a giant 2000 calories. even skipping sauces and cheese you're still liking at like 1500 cals for a giant and i seen people online say they eat a giant every time they go. i just know with subway it's easy to eat a footlong so just doubt a smaller sandwich will be more filling unless they actually give a good amount of meat and stuff.

Maybe it's because I'm next to the original Jersey Mike's but fuck no is Quiznos or Firehouse better. Both of them closed by me while J Mizzles is still going.

In the end a local deli is going to be better than all in the end. A place by me called prime market has the best French fries and subs in the area.

I catch flack for being such a food elitist, but the truth of your statement is embedded by the fact that I am a Jersey boy, and NJ has 16,000+ eateries in a 7,354 square mile space. There's at least one 80-year old multigenerational family establishment on like every block that you would care to walk down.

If youre in a spot where you can go to an actual hoagie joint or deli, its not really worth the price, but I prefer it to pretty much all of the other chain sandwich places (its been a long time since Ive had JJs, Firehouse, or Quiznos though so maybe they have improved since then).

It's my favorite sub place. I'm addictied to the Original Italian. Beats the shit out of Subway (trash tier restaurant) and the portion sizes are perfect for me, Firehouse, while good, is rather anemic in comparison. Never had Quiznos. Jimmy John's is ok, but I'd take Mike's over it any day.
