I wasn't a fan of him in recent years, largely due to his antics outside the ring. So I'm not exactly sad about his passing. It's a really interesting case study for Hulk Hogan to see how much he undermined his own legacy. He was a huge deal for putting modern Pro Wrestling on the map in the 80s, but basically his whole career has been cursed with stories of him hurting others to protect his spot. Most modern wrestling fans likely weren't even alive to see any of Hogan's actual wrestling - or if anything, just the very tail end of it. Which means for most of even long-time wrestling fans - the only memory of Hogan is him directly causing harm to the business he helped build. His last WWE appearance was the crowd booing him out of the building. It's like looking at how Bill Cosby ruined his legacy, but Hogan didn't even commit crimes or anything of the like.
