Ambient temperature does not account for humidity or wind, which affect how the weather actually feels. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Highest_temperature_recorded_on_Earth The decertification of the former record in Libya has since cast doubt on the validity of the 1913 recording.[7] If the 1913 record were to be decertified, the highest established recorded air temperature on Earth would be 54.0 C (129.2 F), also recorded in Death Valley on 20 June 2013, and in Mitribah, Kuwait on 21 July 2016. I voted 105-109, though 100-104 might be more accurate. 95 is a high temperature here, I don't even think we break 100 every summer, but it has definitely happened. 109, hottest recorded temp in Houston. Hit it three times in a single week like two years ago it fucking sucked. Somewhere around 43C-44C. Went out grocery shopping in the middle of the day earlier this year when it was at its hottest all summer. Not that I planned it that way, it was more of a "ooh, it's feeling kind of strange out here right now, probably shouldn't be out here for too long" sensation as I was walking the block home from the train station situation then I found out I'd been subjecting myself to over 43C degrees and I was like "yep, that explains it lol." I dont know, to be honest, but probably around 105. The UV is what really gets to me. That superheats living spaces to where people cant cool down in their own home.
