I just started creating the most basic decks I could with what little I have so far, and it's been a blast doing the solo battles. I've only done beginner and intermediate battles, though. mnk 07/13/25 6:42:17 PM #54:	Every new set tends to come with one or two EXes or other cards that become meta-defining for online play, but if you're mainly just looking to beat the solo battles for now, there are good decks you can make from any individual pack. The main thing that'd make you want to go from pack to pack is how spread out all the vital item/supporter cards are. Like you want Sabrina from Genetic Apex, you want Cyrus from Space-Time Smackdown, Leaf from Mythical Island, Rare Candy from Celestial Guardians, etc... The good thing for latecomers is that you can try to trade for items/supporters, and they don't cost any trade tokens. That said, the newest set (Eevee Grove atm) is never tradeable right away, so if that's what you're primarily pulling from then you won't be able to trade them until the next set is out towards the end of the month. Strong basic EXes are the easiest to build around. Stuff like Darkrai (Space-Time Smackdown) or Giratina (Shining Revelry). Otherwise I would say Rare Candy is a really good one to aim for, since it does the most work in improving the biggest amount of decks (but decks based on Stage 2 'mons also really appreciate Pokemon Communications from (STS). --- Change is weird. <cite>mnk posted [p:985759215] in Pokemon TC... This is the first time I'm finishing a set before the next one is added, so I've got time now to go back to older packs and hopefully get more 1star cards, ideally ones I don't have, but dupes so that I have more trade fodder wouldn't be the worst thing. I'll go for Palkia packs first, though I'm currently undecided whether to stick with that, or rotate between it, Solgaleo and Lunala. I also got 2 1 star cards yesterday, but they were both ones I had 1 copy of already, so they're not new and I don't want to use them as trade fodder until I get another one, so that I keep 2 copies of each card for deck use.
