I believe he expanded (lol) into more general gaming content where he wasn't playing the character. To give an idea what he was like, the phrase "Mr. Rogers of the internet" was used. I'm pretty sure he made that up, but it wasn't toooo unfitting. I think the first big thing was when he said in a livestream that now wasn't the time to fight for gay marriage. From then on, people started noticing his habit of fence sitting (must be a big-ass fence), trying to appease everyone instead of just having a fuckin' opinion on something. Eventually it came out that he was not nearly a nice a guy as he seems. I don't think anything downright abusive, just kind of gross. For instance, if I'm remembering right, he ran a porn blog before his Youtube career. Another big thing was that he was constantly pleading poverty while very obviously just pissing money away. I believe at one point he was begging for donations shortly after buying a Tesla. If you don't mind watching a two minute video, someone did a documentary on him a while back. As part of that, they talked about his financial situation and even set him with a job recruiter.
