they sure were, but Hitler wasn't just doing things because "the donor class" wanted it. He was very much an ideologue who hated leftism because he viewed it as a Jewish plot.

Many of the Nazis' later actions likewise make no sense if you view it through the lens of just "the donors want this." They actively made their forces and industry weaker to continue the Holocaust

Though in fact the Nazis abandoned any socialist elements to their ideology and policies years before the Night of the Long Knives.

The Nazis had complete control over the economy, including the private sector and removed uncooperative members of the donor class. They were not beholden to those groups and only used them long enough for their own rise to power.

As pointed out, the Holocaust was continued long after it became a detriment to the war effort to the resources it consumed.
