I never understood why. OH NO they changed the mask! Failed adaptation.

I somehow managed to get through the whole season and I wouldve bet anything this wasnt getting another season.

I couldnt tell if the acting was godawful or if the writing gave them nothing to work with or it was a combination of both but damn that was not good.

I did watch the whole thing though so maybe Im partially responsible?

I liked the Japanese version. How's the Netflix one? Must be good enough if it can get a 2nd season from Netflix.

Anime? I thought it was just a manga.

yea, there's a Kakegurui anime on Netflix (there's also a spin-off miniseries).

anyway, I know people hated on Bet due to it being a western adaptation, which also wasn't so great, but the series it's based on is pretty trashy, so I did what I could to look past it and found some entertainment.

but even though I say Kakegurui is trashy, I still like it.

Weren't they weaseled it out by saying it's not an adaptation but "inspired by".

Never watched the live action, I did greatly enjoy the actual anime, though it got uncomfortable at times with how unbearably horny the main girl gets with high stakes gambles.
