So here is the idea, instead of sending enormous amounts of soldiers to die in wars or negatively impacting the economy due to trade disagreements every country on the planet needs to elect "the guy".

Once that happens any time a conflict between nations occurs and it escalates to the point of no return, instead of a war breaking out, the countries involved will send their guys to meet up and settle the difference 1 vs 1.

Now the twist is that doesn't necessarily mean they will fight to settle the difference, no no no. Along with the election of the position known now as "the guy", each country also submits a way for a conflict to be resolved and this could be anything.

One country might put a fight to the death, but another might elect to solve conflicts by having a game of chess. Some other country might pick a foot race to decide a winner.

Every countries chosen form of conflict resolution will be put into a hat. Whenever two or more countries decide there is no other way to resolve their issues and they need to send their guys in, then they also randomly draw a way to resolve it from the hat.

This would even the playing field and force countries to carefully select their guy to be well rounded as opposed to just being great at one thing like fighting or whatever. I mean what could is having Mike Tyson be your guy when the method of conflict resolution that gets drawn is having a spelling bee?

Either way, every country gets one guy and gets to submit one form of competition. Conflict arises, those involved send their guy in, they are randomly given a competition, winning country gets whatever was negotiated beforehand and the issue is resolved.

Saves millions of lives and a ton of money.

What happens when a nation just refuses to abide by the results of the limbo contest or whatever?

This can never work, because you can never get enough people to agree, and then enforce that agreement. Just basic game theory.

the problem is when the conflict is that one side wants to depopulate the other side to oblivion, like Russia and apparently Israel
