You know, this is actually an interesting story. Everyone panicked about how bad it was going to be, and then nothing happened. But the truth is actually somewhere in between.

It was never going to to close everyone's bank accounts and open one for George Washington like I had a teacher insist it could, but like all date issues, it really was gonna screw up everything. I hear stories all the time from people who were working as engineers then and all the stuff they had to update.

Basically, what we mistook as not being a problem at all was actually a matter of people actually getting shit done for once. I dunno, maybe it used to be normal for people to get shit done.

Although people not having their faces buried in their smartphones all the time was nice, I'll grant you that.

Got my Nintendo 64
2nd brother was born
School was a breeze
Was on a Jurassic Park high
Last school year before my best friend had to leave
Got to sit next to my crush

Second half of the year was rough, unfortunately, but I had room to improve it if I went back with hindsight.

If I generally had a redo of that year, I would want to live it again.
