So people are supporting the government of Iran now? The country whose proxies have caused chaos throughout the Middle East (Syria, Yemen, Lebanon, Iraq, etc). The country that is giving military aid to Russia to commit genocide in Ukraine. The country that has literal honor police that brutalize and murder women. The country that has definitely caused more deaths of innocents than Israel. The country that has wanted to commit genocide of Israel since its inception. The country whose doctrine would happily use nukes to get rid of Israel if given the chance.

I get being anti-Israel considering the situation with the Palestinians, but being pro-Iran (the horrible government) is way too far. Oddly enough, most Middle Eastern countries that aren't proxies of Iran at this point covertly prefer Israel to Iran at this point (partially due to what Iran has done in the Middle East and partially due to Sunni vs Shiite differences). Seems some people in this thread have lost their mind. At least it is the usual suspects.

Yeah, it is pretty insane. This is a heel program. One doesn't have to choose a side when both governments are extremely evil.

Israels performance against Hezbollah and now Iran only make its behavior in Gaza look all the more atrocious.

Apparently eastern Iran has been bombed. Israel claims it has control of Iranian airspace and it might actually be true. Also, Iran seems to be launching less missiles as time goes on (likely because of supply depleting and Israel destroying Iran's means of launching missiles).

Iran doesn't seem to do well when they're not going after defenseless Syrian civilians.

I don't believe anything coming out of Israel. Iran missiles supplies are nowhere near remotely close.tp being "depleted". In fact they are merely using their old stock missiles in combination their high end missiles. The old missiles are decoy to maximize the effectiveness of their hypersonic missiles.

Oh yeah, you can clearly see the difference between "collateral damage will get us in trouble" and "collateral damage is fuckin' awesome" in how the IDF is conducting its ethnic cleansing campaign, just depending on where they are.

Like, I think there's a big difference between the Mossad's strategical intel setup (which, uh, is REALLY fucking good) and the IDF being comprised of...well....sadistic, undisciplined conscripts just allowed to run rampant. But the IAF has been very involved in both and there's a LOT of difference in how they've struck Iran versus aza.

I kinda predict that someone knows the only way to keep Khamenei vulnerable is to not kill many Iranian civilians since Netanyahu really wants Khamenei overthrown. Which, honestly, he should be. Just that....so should Netanyahu.

The thing that really gets me is Iran saw this happen to Hezbollah and didn't learn anything. The military structure of the IRGC is in ruins, and Israel's not even done.

sorry but I highly doubt that communism has a large following in Iran, especially a third of a century after the Soviet Union collapsed >_>.

In fact, here is an interesting fact: There were only ever three countries in the middle east that had at any point had a large following for communism (not socialism, as that had much more appeal across the middle east, especially in combination with Nasserism and Arabism. I am talking about full communism) among their population: Syria (who had the only Arab communist party branch that was officially endorsed and supported by the USSR), Iraq (Where they did a coup and ruled for a couple years until Baath's coup), and South Yemen (where they ruled for the entirety of its existence until it merged with North Yemen to form, well, Yemen).

The idea is that the mere threat will cause Israel to think twice next time they want to engage in unjustified wars of aggression.

Israels government and military are psychotic and genocidal, but they arent stupid. Even they would think twice about picking on someone who can turn the conflict into one where both sides have nuclear capability.

The only nuclear states that tend to actually get into meaningful direct conflict with each other at all are India and Pakistan, and even they keep it very limited because of that threat.

The Iranian Health Ministry said late Sunday that 224 people have been killed since Israels attack began Friday. Spokesman Hossein Kermanpour said on social media that 1,277 other people were hospitalized. He asserted that more than 90% of the casualties were civilians.

They could be lying of course, but I think it's safe to say that most of the people they killed are civilians.

I said they could be lying, all I said is the majority of deaths (aka 51%+) are almost certainly civilians. Even if you think those scientists don't count that's still majority civilians remaining.

Well, yes, because it's done less evil (a lot, but still less). The harm caused directly and indirectly by the Iranian government, while very bad, are by any reasonable measure less bad than those caused by the US and Israeli governments.

Is that due to lack of trying or a lack of resources and power? Iran has aided and committed its own atrocities as Im sure youre aware, and at the end of the day theyre an authoritarian fundamentalist country that actively oppresses its population. There is nothing to support or downplay on either side of this, and I think its naive to believe that a nuclear Iran wouldnt be a massive threat

I dont why this debate needs to go further than Israel fucking sucks, Iran fucking sucks, this conflict fucking sucks. I have no sympathy for the governments of either Iran or Israel. The innocent people caught in between are who lose the most.

Iran is supplying the means or Russia to wage war in Ukraine, where it is attempting and committing genocide, true or false?

Iran supplied the means and methods for Syria to enact genocide on ethnic minorities in Syria, with entire villages slaughtered and dumped in mass graves Their proxies starved entire cities and mocked the residents via pictures of food on social media. Hundreds of thousands of Syrians were slaughtered, including via chemical weapons attacks. This isn't even scratching the surface of what happened in Yarmouk and Idlib.

In Yemen, Iranian proxies have again committed genocide, mass starvation and famine, mass murder, torture and ethncially cleansing with a thriving sex slavery ring for Houthi officers.

Tell us how more how it's less bad by "any reasonable measure," Thanatos. Keep in mind I haven't even gotten to Lebanon and Iraq yet. I haven't even scratched the surface of Syria where they are still finding mass graves.

Iran's support for Syria alone caused the deaths of anywhere from 5-10 times the casualties in Gaza.

This is before we factor in Yemen, Iraq, Lebanon and more. Oh, and the UN estimates ukrainian civilian casualties to be as high as 40,000 so far
