Stage 6 get the regret over At Her Doorstep (Aspera 1) Two of Everything really does just sound like a Christina Aguilera song, but in a way that's kind of refreshing since that style has kind of gone out of favor and now it's 'fresh' again. Nothing in this vgmc so far really sounds like this, despite there being a lot of songs with female vocalists. I dunno, I kind of like it. I never beat Immortality 7/10 Ah, Earnest Evans. I found you in the dumpster, dusted you off, turned you back into a perfectly good nomination, and now look at you! This always makes me think of the time Retsupurae covered this game so it makes me nostalgic. Kinda goes hard not gonna lie 7.5/10 get the regret over is, as far as anime ballads go, actually one of the pretty good ones I would say 7/10 Moving Fortress exists, I already forgot what it sounded like 6/10 Both 20XX and 30XX are examples of soundtracks where I like a couple of tracks but the rest I could really take or leave. This is a leave. It just stirs nothing in me at all. 5.5/10 Ah, right, another one of these high production gacha songs with an anime character who gently sways in the wind 5/10 ... Earnest Evans (Sega CD) - Stage 6 Toushin Toshi III - get the regret over MementoMori: AFKRPG - VI. THE SWORD MATCH 1 As others have mentioned, the late 90s/early 2000s pop feel of Two of Everything is very apparent haha. I would very much vibe to songs like Genie in a Bottle and Baby One More Time that have been mentioned here (probably largely out of nostalgia lol), but I don't like Two of Everything nearly as much. It just feels kind of corny. Stage 6 is pretty cool! Really like the sound of the instruments in this. Melodically, it's really cool all around as well. I thought 1:04 was going to surprise me with the piano in that I was half-expecting it to do something like The Extreme does where it moves that piano melody up a few semitones to create this sort of "dark" sound, for lack of a better word. Like I'm picturing the piano part of Stage 6 going up 3 semitones at 1:08 (which is also what The Extreme does lol). But it's still cool what it actually does here! MATCH 2 I love Shade music. Shade rock songs at their best are just so good, and get the regret over is definitely that! That guitar riff at 0:16 is just awesome. The syncopation in the guitar at 0:33 is really cool as well. The guitar solo at 2:51 is another instance of Shade doing what Shade does best. The last minute of the song is also really great with having both the vocals and the crazy guitar riffs front and center. That bit at 4:09 is a cool change in the song too. Stuff like this and Rance songs and the like are very much my thing. Something cool I found out about the singer, Rekka Katakiri, is that she also sung the vocals for the OP to The Devil on G-String, "Answer", another visual novel opening that I really like The Moving Fortress is easily the second-best song up today. Really cool melody with a nice DnB beat to it. This barely missed the cut for my supports considerations during nominations and it was one of the songs that I was keeping a close eye on during the final hours of the nominations period, as I was ready to support it if it needed it. This is, from what I can tell at a glance, the roughest round 1 match in the contest in that both songs are really good but it's lopsided towards one song in terms of what I'd vote for. Better than it being incredibly close though, I guess haha. MATCH 3 At Her Doorstep is very cool with how there's a lot going on in the melody. There's a slight wistfulness to it as well that I really like. The Sword is definitely my preference over The Bud. I guess it appeals to my folk music tastes more? I saw a few pirate comparisons in the Discord server, which I definitely see and it's something I like in this song. The "ah" with the fiddle is definitely the best part of the song. get the regret over > The Moving Fortress > VI. THE SWORD > At Her Doorstep (Aspera 1) = Stage 6 >> Two of Everything Great top 5 today! ... Copied to Clipboard!

Stage 6 The Moving Fortress VI. THE SWORD Two of Everything is so 2000's it hurts. This is very much in that vein of Britney Spears/Christina Aguilera pop where it's pretty catchy as its main hook. The singer is alright too, but this song kinda just comes and goes for me. Still, it's nice for what it is. Leave it to Sakuraba to help make a song with a pretty good driving melody that you can just listen on repeat and feel good with. Stage 6 feels like a perfect homage to those late 80s/early 90s action show intros with all that MIDI magic going on. There's some cool guitar in the mix too, this is honestly a cool pick. get the regret over is a good anime song. It doesn't do anything crazy, but it hits a lot of familiar notes that tend to be favorable for me. There is a nice little guitar solo in the last third like you'd expect, and I do like the singer's range in this one. Alright Moving Fortress, you got my number. A fun techno breakcore song is always a treat in my book, and this one doesn't overstay its welcome with any loud droning sounds/synths and likes to keep the flow moving, which is something I always appreciate with songs like this. At Her Doorstep is nice, I can tell immediately that it's supposed to be a more emotional song with how slightly long the main synth plays its notes compared to the bass synths and the rhythm. The piano is a nice touch that adds to that too; this one is simply just pleasant to listen to most of the time. THE SWORD is easily my favorite MementoMori song from what I've been exposed to so far. The voice does go into that real saccharine territory at one point, but the other 90% of the time it's a pleasure to listen to! I'd say it compliments the lively Celtic jam that's happening perfectly fine. Every instrument here (vocals included) just works off each other so well, the end result is a song that truly feels magical to me. ... Copied to Clipboard!

two of everything kinda rocks actually lmfao i think i could've come up with six billion other styles i'd have thought this would be before i first clicked on it than what the reality is and that supremely rocks. and it's not that bad as well!!! I think it's missing something to make it truly something that is good on its own rather than good because of what it's sounding like. kinda moot point though cause oh god stage 6 RULES SO SO SO MUCH this might be my new favorite thing sakuraba has ever done maybe just beaten out by granada - windy avenue lmfao unless im totally forgetting something (i probably am) ((EDIT RIGHT BEFORE POSTING yup i found the song i forgot its Confidence in the domination that song rules im nomming it next year i dont CARE)) anyway great match i've actually known get the regret over for a shockingly long time thanks to an early placement somewhere randomly in a 5ch yearly ranking (or maybe it was in a honorable mentions video for one idk lol) but yeah it's very good, albeit not what I'd go to for Shade nor for Rekka Katagiri. now, The Moving Fortress is also not what I would go to for Zekk DNB but god damn if Zekk DNB doesn't just drive me crazy no matter what track it is, this guy really is rising the ranks for me very quickly. This track almost feels like it's got AJURIKA inspiration in it and I think that's a BIG BIG part of why this track clicks with me so much. very glad to see it getting some love here I don't think I would've expected it but yeah this song is great Hmmmmm... honestly, I'm kind of struggling to say anything about At Her Doorstep! It's fine! I think this song is trying to paint me a picture assuming that I already have an idea of what the final picture will looking but I do not have that so it's just kind of a pleasant background piece (lol shut up deo that's literally what 99% of these songs are OKAY WELL I DONT KNOW HOW ELSE TO SAY IT anyway THE SWORD is fantastic instrumentation with fantastic vocals and fantastic mood and AUGH i do like THE BUD as well but this is definitely my fav of the two... and of course its the one that lost LOLOL actually okay now that i'm placing it in the rankings I think I like this WAY more than i ever actually thought damn!! 13. [8.6] - Goddess of Victory: NIKKE - The Moving Fortress 29. [7.9] - Earnest Evans (Sega CD) - Stage 6 36. [7.8] - MementoMori: AFKRPG - VI. THE SWORD 77.
