The first game was fun but I didn't really feel like they did a great job with the encounter design. Fights end up being a bunch of dudes just teleporting in en masse instead of being used very interestingly.

It was a good base to work off of though so I have hope for the second

I pray god will curse the writer, as the writer has cursed the world with this beautiful, stupendous creation, terrible in its simplicity, irresistible in truth

Nice. I enjoyed the first one, although I never finished it because towards the end the levels get way too big and tedious. But the first like 3/4 of the game is badass

Boss fights were dookie too, literally just bullet sponges with infinitely teleporting small enemies

As someone completely new to the franchise, can someone let me know the best games to start out with? Both the RTS side and the TPS side? There are so many games in the franchise its hard to make heads or tails what to begin with. Same with the Yakuza series.

For Warhammer 40k there's really not a place to start. There are so many games made by completely different companies that have absolutely nothing to do with each other. Just pick one in a genre you like and roll with it.
