I was always going to pull Cipher, but the more I look into it the more I realize that she's not just a Topaz alternative for Fei and Jio alternative for Acheron, she's also just a great support in general for almost any team.

She's gonna be great for Archer, too! Archer/Sparkle/Cipher/Fu Xuan might be the first no compromises Mono Quantum Dream Team (though based on that bugged Silver Wolf kit, but buffed SW and Cipher can fill that role nicely).

Yeah, for me the three strikes against her are 1) buffed Silver Wolf, if she lives up to the hype, is gonna give me a similar type of support, 2) replaces Topaz in FUA, and 3) doesn't work well with RMC who does a lot of heavy lifting on my account

Speaking of Archer, I guess I should be prefarming for that guy, huh. Though without Sparkle I think he's DOA for me. But I mean. Still probably better than Seele!

Am grinding out the teeth now since I maxed Ciphers Traces. Relic wise I still need to work on her I think and then find a team for her with what I have.

Interesting thing about Archer and Saber for me is that they both want old relic sets, so I've kind of got what I need mostly from grinding in the past?

Saber can def use that new DPS set, though the attack up gets kind of redundant at some point if you get her LC. If you don't get her LC it might be one of the better ones though, if not the best.

I dont think I have relics for them. I just hate farming relics in general though and probably have a ton of worthless ones to clear out. In Genshin Ive been at the max artifact limit for like 3 years now because Im too lazy to go through so many to clear up space

I saved up all my fuel for a relic grinding but realized I had the pieces already so I spent it all on their trace materials.

Everything about Archer and Saber implies to me that them releasing in 3.4 is completely irrelevant from a time and arguably standpoint. They're anticipating a lot of people starting the game just to get them, and they're not based around partnering specifically with new units.

Bold statement when we don't have info on upcoming supports yet! Obviously Sparkle and Sunday seem like locks for Archer and Saber respectively, and they'll probably rerun at the same time, but I still expect them to have synergy with some upcoming Amphoreus characters to give new players some upgrades to stick around for.

Apparently good ol' Tingyun is one of Saber's best teammates for the energy regen...there's no way they let that stand

That's why they're rerunning him alongside her.

Won't be surprised at all if we get Sparkle rerun on the wave after while Fate is still running, she's just as important for Archer.

Of course if you don't have either and won't get either, Tingyun and Hanya can work respectively, but it's not really a choice. You gotta have one of those paired up respectively or you may as well not build the character.

Maybe if youre a meta slave, but I dont ever plan to pull Sunday because I dont like him at all.

Not sure I'd call it being a meta slave when Hoyo's design strategy for HSR is to just make characters not fucking work if you don't pull specific supports or eidolons

I mean he's totally usesable but you're not gonna be able to do those vids where he uses his Skill 3 times in a row, much less 4. His entire kit's damage is hard focused around spamming Skill in the same turn.

....I actually don't know if Sparkle AND Hanya might be the way to go here, if the extra Skill uses from having them Hanya also might overtake a better 5* support...I HOPE not??

I image there will be plenty of zero sustain runs that do Sparkle and Hanya at the same time though.

I guess I actually do have a partially built E6 Hanya with traces mostly leveled from the bad old days when supports sucked, so maybe I'll see what I can do with Archer, her, and idk Silver Wolf? I'm not very optimistic though.

I think it was Cyrene. Im not caught up on the latest story update yet so I dunno anything about her other than the design. Just give me more short hair waifus Hoyo. Long hair fans have more than enough food.

Oh yeah Cyrene is interesting too but she's appeared for a grand total of 20 seconds so not sure on her yet. Honestly kind of surprised she's not the Harmony we're getting

Too many characters in Amphoreus

Cyrene is supposed to be one of if not the biggest releases for HSR to date, I imagine we'll see a lot of her before she actually gets released. It's like Phainon for the back half of 3.x.

Not saying you're wrong but it's hard for me to take that too seriously when at this point it feels like every other patch we have someone in the running for "most hyped unit" status. Well, maybe not Acheron level but still. We have The Herta in 3.0, then Castorice in 3.2, Phainon AND Fate in 3.4. Then if leaks are to be believed we still have S-Rank March 7th AND Dan Heng to go, along with Cyrene? That's a lot of hype to beat!

I wasn't around for the whole thing but I don't think 2.x was like this, was it? It was basically Acheron and Firefly as the big units and then...idk, did Feixiao have a big hype push?

I don't think any of those characters had the same type of "built to explode" as Castorice and Acheron. There were noteable jumps in animation, marketing, and presentation for those 2 units at the time compared to what came before that just isn't present with the others, The Herta included (marketing was pretty white around 3.0 in general compared to 2.0...). Feixiao was hyped, but that was community hype, she didn't get any particularly unique push from Hoyo. Then there's Fate yeah, but that's a collab, it's not really the same.

Now, Phainon does that too. But you know.....He's a dude....

Firefly....is a little weirder. Firefly was heavily pushed NARRATIVELY, but I don't think there was particular hype around the UNIT. In fact I remember people being pretty down on her before she came out (there wasn't a lot of faith in break at the time.)
