Side note. For the first time in a decade now that Fanatics has the contract for NHL we can get actual Made in Canada authentic pro jerseys. I know some people are anti-fanatic but it is seriously just a logo on the back. The actual jerseys are being made by the same shop in Canada that has made them for the NHL for the last 50 years. These are the real deal and are essentially the same as the on ice jerseys Adidas had made for the players last year except they ditched the dimples on the shoulder and they added a layer inside the sleeve. Adidas never offered true authentic on ice jerseys to the public though. Just premium jerseys which Fanatics still offers as well. I want that MiC though.

So I want to start collecting a few jerseys. I have talked before about how 99% of the time I never spend money outside monthly bills. It is time to start enjoying my money. One jersey will be more money than I have spent on clothes in like 20 years combined lol.

So with that said I'd love to get an Oilers jersey. The problem is though in this first year I think there is only a couple teams offering an authentic pro away jersey and the Oilers are not one of them. I like orange like on my Flyers I think it looks great but there is just something ugly about the Oilers home uniform I don't like and I vastly prefer their white away jerseys.

The other thing that sucks is the jerseys are already pricey at $430 though the NHL store but I don't want heat pressed names and numbers. I want the pro stitched like the players have. Some teams have an actual team store where they offer this service. There is a store in Canada that offers this service for $100 which I'm willing to pay but you are paying Canadian markup so to get a McDavid jersey is $630 and then with the pro stitching brings it up to $730. I'm willing to pay the money but not for the ugly home colors. I want the away jersey.

Then there is still international shipping and any potential tariffs on top of that with all the bullshit going on. So who knows how much that jersey would end up costing. Sigh. I know I know, first world problems.

Anyway just felt like chatting about cool hockey stuff and I was excited about being able to get a real authentic true to form on ice hockey jersey and I want to collect a handful of some of my favorites now that we can get the real deal. With pro stitching most of them will run me around $500 to $550. My Canadian options will run higher. I'd like to get a Leafs ones but I can't find a shop who offers pro stitching. I'd have to order a blank and then send it off to Hockey Authentic or EPS (Exclusive Pro Sports) to get the proper pro stitching and wait a few months.

I'm trying to avoid that and ordering from a team store that offers the service is always the best. Anyway just talking here. I said it before but I'm excited about being able to add in some real authentic jerseys.

The only positive is when the Oilers are clicking a 1 goal deficit can be easily overcome. That being said they have had a couple defensive lapses that just aren't cutting it and I'm not trying to blame it on the goalie at all but Skinner is the type of guy you can't afford to have defensive lapses with and leave him hung out to dry.
