I'm hoping for a Liberal majority but the Conservative vote always seems to be higher than polling surveys indicate. It'll likely be a Liberal minority which I guess is okay, just a shame as you can guarantee it won't be long before the Conservatives force another election.

PPs politics have always been disgusting, he's like a basement dwelling 22 year old. Best case scenario is that he doesn't even win his own seat in this election.

Agree. We need to act fast to snatch up as much American talent as possible. If we can get doctors and nurses up here then that will help our country a lot.

It's not looking good so far. Results are early but Newfoundland is looking split between Conservatives and Liberals. It was considered by pollsters to be unanimously Liberal, and if that doesn't happen, a Conservative government is far more likely assuming the results are similar in other parts of the country.

I refreshed it and the Liberals are now double the Conservatives. Perfect example of why not to count chickens before they hatch.

The Atlantic provinces are typically a near sweep for the Liberals. They should have quadruple the seats, not double.

These early results are in line with what you'd expect from the results of a Conservative majority. Many more ridings are going to be reporting their results soon, and really it's Quebec and Ontario that decide the most of this election given their large populations.

Aye. But it is concerning how close the actual vote counts are.

I was hoping people would be smarter than this.

If conservatives win does this mean Canada wants to be the US's pawn? Because those maple magas are loyal to Donald Trump to an in insane degree and just as hateful, violent and stupid as the home grown ones

So so far it's looking like a number of typical NDP voters went Conservative, specifically the more conservative NDP voters who tend to vote NDP because NDP is the most pro-union party, least that's what CBC is saying.

Kinda ridiculous to me that they'd break for the Cons considering Conservatives are easily the most unfriendly to unions. I really don't get why people fool themselves into thinking conservatives are friends of the working class.

Atlantic Canada needed to be a bigger win for the liberals to feel comfortable. Libs are going to have to win big in Ontario and Quebec to make their chance to survive the prairies possible.

Cons have flipped one Liberal riding so far affording to CBC, or at least that website.

Pretty worrying so far from someone that doesn't want to see Conservatives anywhere near forming a government. We'll have to hope the Liberals can take some seats from the Bloc in Quebec and that Ontario can vote overwhelmingly against the Cons.

You also have to hope that in BC the vote didn't split too much between the NDP and Liberals.

I wish someone would ask him if he truely thinks the massive landmass of Canada should all be 1 single titanic sized state. Cause it makes no sense. He keeps calling it the 51st but it would likely be broken into multiple states.

If and only if the NDP even win enough seats to do that. The balance of power absolutely will be with the BQ this time.

This for sure. BQ is interesting in the sense their views swing wildly between left and right wing. Certain things they are very left wing, certain things very right wing.

If the NDP polling is accurate, it'd have to be a minority that just barely fell short of a majority for the NDP to matter at all. More likely a liberal minority would be held up by the Bloc.

Results are about to go nuts, basically everything outside of BC is now reporting. There will be a wild boost for the Conservatives, leaving the final deciding factor to BC.

That's too be expected as you have to start counting from zero. What always amazes me is when they call a riding when there's like under 10 polls counted.

The sad part is that the Atlantic Canada really doesn't matter. Ontario alone is 122 seats. So anyone who wins Ontario gains a massive advantage in the polling.

As an Australian whose watching his own election coming this Saturday very nervously (the conservative is going full Trump-culture war this week) I'm nervously watching what Canada does as well.

Will the anti-Trump wave be real or not. If it's not the world is headed down a very dark path (and potentially obliteration). Nervous times.

A con seat in Alberta is currently leaning NDP. That's neat.

Let me hurt your mind even more. Those colours aren't based on the leaders running for Prime Minister. It's based on the seats for each party. Way too hard to get into at this point, but its just as confusing as a Canadian born citizen.
