Make that 3 Rare Candy and got another Solgaleo EX too

Finally got around to beating all the SR solo battles. It was nice to have the benefit of CG cards when doing them. Used Toucannon for the all Colorless task in the Bibarel fight and was able to attack with it on turn 3.

sure! - theres not a Raichu in STS though? I sent TL raichu which is the only raichu i have more than one off - hopefully its the one you meant?

As much as I think the current meta is bad I did not realize I only had to climb 2 ranks to get back to where I was last season so that's nice.

I lucked out and pulled 2 Solgaleo so I just abused that broken deck.

I actually like this meta way more than the last one. Rare Candy is absurd, but Giratina ex bellowing while Darkrai ex does chip damage was a total snoozefest for me.

Since I usually run off-meta decks, I like to experience some more diversity in the inevitable meta that I will nonstop be encountering!

Pulled the rainbow 2 star of it this morning and then got the normal version of it from WP directly after. Just tried out that deck and 100% agree that it is stupid

The 1-star Drampa card is cool. Just missed it on a WP attempt.

wonder if it'd be good in that Solgaleo deck

I just pulled a second Solgaleo

Unfortunately still don't have the middle one or any rare candies

The Solgaleo deck I run does not use any of the middle evolutions, just 2 rare candies.

I totally forgot that sneak peeks were not guaranteed as I decided ahead of time where I was going to use my second chance if my sneak peek didn't hit...only for the wonder pick to unfold as normal. As my luck would have it, my initial spot didn't have either of the cards I was targeting while my second spot did.

Oricorio is genuinely hilarious. Giratina/Darkrai decks just stall out in front of this dancing birb until their opponents concede or die honourable deaths.

Giratina Darkrai is one of the EX decks that should be able to handle Oricorio though since it has non-attack damage

Nightmare Aura's 20-damage chips just can't stack up when I've got a pair of 'em to swap between and healing items on tap. I build two high-attack Pokemon on the bench, and I have a Dawn to hit with a quick surprise Zzzap attack (lol) if needed.

I'm sure it won't be a 100% win ratio for long, since... well, nothing ever is, but thus far, I'm like five-zero against that deck.

The deck that won a big tournament recently was basically a Greninja + Giratina deck with Snorlax to tank (and do damage with Barry). It was even running water+dark energy!

Rare candy just gets Greninja going so fast that you're doing 40 damage to any Pokemon from the backline with a perfect setup. And it doesn't waste a turn so you can build Giratina up too.

Ooh, I think I ran into someone using this, or at least, close to this. That does sound grand.

what do you all use to back up your oricorio with when your opponent actually has a half decent non-ex? i don't like running something that just auto-loses to any major meta deck

i saw someone that ran the new raichu ex, which looks neat but i don't have it (side note, it's nuts that it requires only generic energy). presumably magnezone is a reliable fallback. and the OG pikachu ex/zapdos ex doesn't pack enough of a punch in my opinion

Right now, one of my better-performing decks with Oricorio has me rolling with two Pidgey/two Rare Candy/one OG Pidgeot + one Pidgeot ex, plus a single Zapdos ex.

Its somewhat cumbersome, but quite enjoyable. Ive always had a good time teaming a Pidgeot ex with a regular Pidgeot. It really keeps my opponents on their toes. And Pidgeot isnt even especially mediocre for attacking now that Rare Candy is in; leaping from one-Energy Gust to two-Energy 70 damage, with a chance for 90 against an ex via Red? Not shabby.

But its that built-in Sabrina ability that I love about the card. I think Im going to do something with the dual Pidgey line in a Psychic deck, too. And I used to run a Water deck with them for Irida.

Speaking of Barry, Rare Candyd Staraptor with Barry is ruthless. Another great birb.

Edit: How the heck did I forget how to spell Pidgeot. Fixed.

Pidgeot is one of my favorite cards too. It's just fun.
