after letting our 14.5 game division lead shrink to 5.5 games during the 13 game slump it's now back up to 11 games

The Yankees really are just this year's champion of "beat all the bad teams but lose to all the good teams".

Despite the loss today, the Brewers are an impressive 15-3 against current division leaders, with a big Labor Day series with the Phillies starting on Monday that could go a long way in deciding #1 seed in the NL.

The Dodgers just took a no-hitter into the 9th against the Orioles in a 3-0 game and lost after the no hitter was broken with 2 outs in the inning.

What in the world is going on with the Dodgers?

That was the worst loss I've ever watched my team lose.

It was the reverse feeling of watching 4 consecutive home runs tie a game in the 9th and then win with a come from behind go ahead home run in the 10th.

Just absolutely brutal.

Woo, we're reaching the stretch run here and a lot of exciting races going on across baseball.

Can the Blue Jays hold off the Yankees and Red Sox to win the AL East? They're also in a tight battle for the one seed with Detroit (Is Skubal okay?).

Meanwhile there's a three-team race for the AL West, with a potential wild card as a consolation for the runner-up, though Cleveland is trying to have a say in that still.

Brewers are the first team to 90 wins, but they have some competition for the one seed as the surging Phillies are only 2 games back.

Can the Padres catch the Dodgers for the division? It's crazy that whoever wins the NL West will likely be playing wild card weekend.

Speaking of the wild card, the Mets 7 game losing streak has opened the door for the Giants or Reds to steal that final spot. Cubs look to be chilling safe and sound in that first wild card slot.

Football is back and stealing some of the thunder, but this is going to be a fun finish to the regular season.
