Is it for old people, passive aggressive, or fine to use

It's a thumbs up

I'm still surprised that it's seen as passive aggressive for some people.
I find it better than saying "okay" which to me, can be easily coded as passive aggressive

Is using it to be passive aggressive a zoomer thing? Me and everybody I text uses it for its intended purpose.

Depends on the context. By itself, it's just a thumbs up.

but yeah, the context matters

I mean if you use over something simple like, im going to the store. Thats fine but if you throw that out when someone writes a novel to you, i can see how that could be infuriating lol

My Dad uses it way too much

The most common emoji I see at work

but conversely, only genuine psychopaths would use in a work setting.

It doesnt bother me when i use it. Thats all I really care about regarding the matter

I pretty much avoid it for the same reason I avoid using the phrase "take it or leave it" when giving advice.

It's pretty easy for someone to take it wrong because it's pretty easy for it to come across as dismissive.

I could get all pissy whenever someone takes it wrong, or I could just not use them and sidestep the whole fuckin' fiasco in the first place.

I will survive not using a damn emoji.
