Yep. Republicans crafted their own partisan spending bill without giving fuck what Democrats wanted and got enough Democrat votes for it to pass anyway. So come September when they have to pass another spending bill why should they give a fuck what Democrats want then?

There are no heroes in politics, if you look to the democrats for a hero, you will only be disappointed.

I have never looked at the democratic party and felt a sense of "yeah THESE are the mfs I want representing me because they're AWESOME"

Its always been more of a "God hates all of us and is punishing me by making me vote for these mfs."

The only modern politician that's ever actually remotely represented my beliefs is Bernie.

There are some members of the democratic party that do have good oration skills and have decent records but on the whole, and especially the leadership, the party is not worth going "I'm a PROUD true blue DEMOCRAT"

Well they got exactly what they voted for since mathematically Democrats cant do shit until 2026.

This poll would be more accurately described as 29% of Americans are satisfied with who they voted into power.

The Democrats badly need an attack dog; the Republicans are full of lunatics that are all about attacking the "leftist woke socialists", and the Democrats just look like they're asleep at the switch.

AOC is the closest they have and even she isn't particularly effective at it, partly because she is only one person. I want to see someone who is an out-and-out avowed leftist who is not afraid to voice full-throated support for leftist policies and call out the Trump administration for the fascist oligarchy that it is. Not someone who "voices concern"; not someone who "is outraged" - find me someone who actually has the balls to fight these assholes and get them in front of a TV camera.

I don't like what the Democrats are doing either but considering we only have two real choices, we are currently stuck with them. Someone who says "I don't like the Democrats, therefore I'm going to vote for the party who will destroy everything" is to put it kindly, not smart.

K put it best, "People are dumb, panicky dangerous animals and you know it".

We do not have good leaders in the Democratic Party. And the fact that there seems to be zero strategy to combat the GOP after a Trump win is stunning.

But I also dont know what everybody who is frustrated with Democrats actually expects in terms of real results in the short term. Voters have decreed that Democrats have zero power over any of the three branches of government. There is only so much that can be done under those circumstances beyond rhetoric that makes us feel better but doesnt accomplish anything.

I am much more mad at the Democrats of the 80s and 90s than I am Democrats now. Those Democrats were the ones that let Rush and Fox turn a large chunk of this country into a cult while they stood around trying so hard to be polite.

Now? Again, I am shocked and dismayed that we have zero organized counter for what was so obviously coming in the event of a second Trump term. But my anger is much more directed at a GOP that has abandoned even the pretense of good faith and the voters who are getting exactly the disaster they voted for. Democrats need to do better, but they are in a trap that started closing decades ago.

Dem party needs new leadership, post-haste. Just because the Republicans control the House, Senate, and executive, doesn't mean the only strategy should be to quietly lie down and comply. I'm pretty sure we the people want to see the Democratic party fight back against all of the crazy shit that this administration is doing.
